The world of SEO is always on the go and changes are imminent. This is something that all SEO specialists are aware of and try to tackle as best as they can. However this change is beautiful in its own respect because it makes one be more dynamic in his approach. With every year that we start there are many discussions as to what types of SEO trends do we envisage for the coming year. Now that we are practically half way through 2016, what are the main trends that seem to have taken over in your opinion?
If I were to answer this I would say that we seem to have moved from the need to understand the audience that we aim to target, to also be more specific in the way we target them. User experience has become of more significance I guess. And this is one of the reasons why we need to keep improving what we do. This also involves mobile websites. Which brings me to the other defining trend of this year. We all need to focus much more on searches that are carried out on mobile devices because they are increasing as we speak! Apart from these are there any other trends you are noticing and any changes?

One trend that is quite interesting is that Google will be favouring content that has more of a conversational tone. This is because phone and voice searching on Google is on the rise so content that has conversional tones will start to rank better. This means if you optimise keywords that are used a lot in voice searches, you should drive more traffic to your website. Yes, I agree with you that user and mobile experience is the key trend to SEO of 2016. Having mobile friendly websites is becoming a key factor in rankings and the role it will play in search engine rankings will only keep increasing. I recently read an article that said Google will roll out new updates so that the mobile-friendly algorithm will take into account the actual mobile page speed of the website. Clearly, Google will keep updating their algorithm to make these factors more important in the ranking decisions. Another thing I read is that Google will put more emphasis on social signals when ranking websites. In 2016, working more on social media marketing and optimising for mobile will definitely help rankings and drive more traffic to your website.
