Can i do SEO for an Youtube video same as a website?

My question is
can i use the same procedure for doing SEO for you tube video which i use for website?
Can i create backlinks using blog comments,forum posts...
can i use social bookmarking also?
does sharing on social sites like face book and twitter help in ranking my video?

Yes social bookmarking and sharing your video bring good traffic to your video which is required for ranking video on YouTube.

Yes you can also do SEO for your video by adding targeted keywords in description and title.

Aside from the keywords that you have tagged your video, you can also do relentless promotion in other sites. Maybe 5 posts a day will be good enough to scatter the backlinks of your video.
