In other words, yes it's a very smart thing to do for both in terms of if you're worry about bounce rate and in terms of keeping people on your website for whatever other reason. This is very good practice even if you're not worrying about your bounce rate because of course if it's a new visitor you don't want them getting distracted by a site linked off your then not coming back.
