what service you find more powerful?
I think Social Bookmarking is far better than Article Submission in terms of building quality backlinks!
I prefer social bookmarking as In some experiments I made they gave me better results. But that`s just my point of view... :)

I do not like article writing and I do not like spinning articles and all that stuff so Social Bookmarks are perfect because they're simple, fast and very effective with very little effort if you automate the process.
I feel Social Bookmarks can always be used in a wider range of things than article submission. I feel using them both together is key but if I were to pick one I would go with Social Bookmarking.
