Who uses pen and paper?

With the advent of electronic means of communication, the art of writing on paper is being neglected a lot these days. Blogs, forums, cloud storage, word processors have made writing and editing much more simpler. It becomes really convenient to use the PC to work on an article without having the need to erase or re-write anything should you find something wrong with what you wrote. And its environment friendly. But, I will miss the books. The smell of the papers cannot be replaced with anything. The physical feel of going through a novel cannot be felt on a laptop/PC. All being replaced by the Kindle readers.

And for all the nostalgia of the old days, electronic communication is so much faster and intrinsically satisfying as you can just whip off an email or text to friends, rather than taking time to put pen to paper to write.

Possibly the only downside that I can see, the recipient is not likely to save texts or emails in the same way they saved letters.
