How was your 2018 freelance career?

2018 is nearing its end.  As an Online Freelancer it's time to assess my career if it's a "Yay or a Nay" for this year.  And it's a "Yay", my income from freelancing tripled and it's only my second year as a freelancer.

Oddly enough, it was way more superior than previously. In 2018 I fought a permanent contract as a writer and a programmer, all thanks to freelancer. Usually before I was doing random translation jobs before.

I'm still new to the freelancing world and I intend to make it work for me,well for the little time I have been able to be here I will say a yay to my online earning though I just some months old. I'm looking forward to a better 2019. It must be a bomb for me.

I'm sure it will be, but don't forget to stop learning and learning. That's the thing that most people overlook when it comes to working online. The more skills you have in your arsenal, the better. All the best!

You are right about that. Aside from earning, this site also give us opportunities to improve our skills and enhance our knowledge as well. We can use this platform to develop our freelancing skills. I am also looking forward to a more abundant, more prosperous 2019.

I have learned a lot not only from this site but with the other clerk sites that they have. I thank the Clerks community for helping me gain more knowledge this 2018, and I hope I get to learn more in years to come.

What I like about 2018 is that there are a lot more earning sites and apps to work on compared to 2017. Also it's a lot faster to know if the site is a scam or not because there's a lot more scam review sites now than last year.

I am thankful for the opportunity that I encountered this year. I am still starting with freelance work but it's doing good. It brought kindness and happiness on me. I am motivated to work and improve myself. This is another working experience. Plus, I am also grateful to find a legitimate site. I am glad to know it. Thank you, Lord!

I think in terms of new work. I had my ups and down. I have realized that not all clients can be retained. I may have to try out some of the new projects. And also have to learn new skills. If that can be done then yes, the freelance career can turn out to be better. So considering that part I have learned new things. And also learned how to work with existing skills. But I need new clients every now and then so that I can make this consistent income.

It's a both. I'm on the fence about it. I've had a lot of bad experiences specially with my fellow countrymen, or should I say countrywomen, who seem to be unaware of the difference between being professional and being unreasonably rude. But that's fine. They probably have their own reasons for being that way. Anyway, it's going well in terms of pay. So yeah it's a both. But I do need a break soon.

My freelance career picked up a lot this year which was good both from a professional and a financial point of view. I’ve added a lot of new pieces to my portfolio which is nice — the more robust portfolio I can create, the better future options that come my way.

It's doing just fine! I'm very glad to have discovered a new earning opportunity which is a real game-changer. I'm hoping to keep this job and improve my work this coming 2019.

I'm so happy for you. Do you mind if I ask what kind of things you do or what niche you are in? Programming, digital marketing, data entry, article writing?

That sounds amazing. Forgive me if I asked, it's just that I am on a search for similar people who do the same things as I do. I'd like to know what sites they use to learn more. Thanks!

My answer would be "nay" I just started online freelancing for less than a month I would say I liked it but I still need to improve in a lot of things and I am looking forward this coming 2019.

I hope I can say "Yay" this coming 2019.

Yea, practice makes perfect all we newbies need to do is just focus on the right skills and things to do. I know working online isn't easy but we can still get through with it.

It has been a really great year for my freelancing career! I started working as a freelancer this year. So far, it has been a great experience. The salary is okay but I guess it will improve over time as my skills improve. I hope that 2019 will be even better for me and my freelancing career. And of course, for my income. I enjoy writing as freelancer. And that is the only thing that matters.

I am new on this online freelancing jobs. I only started this december around 1st week and I am so happy to get my first payout and it feels good and I think, I would still be doing this and work hard on it. I am still looking for some new ways on earning online so I could earn more than my first payout and let's see what I could earn in the next few months.

I am new in freelancing job but actually i got my first payment in freelancing and i can say that it feels great and happy that my hardwork in freelancing is worth it. And now i am spending my time to become more skilled in freelancing. And still want to have other online job that i can make a passive income.

My dream is to have some passive income too on top of earning from my full-time job. A lot of people have suggested starting a YouTube channel, but I'm not that good at editing videos. I hope I'll have spare time this coming year to learn. Good luck!

This is the year when I discovered a freelancer career. I'm very positive that this coming year I will get my first client and have a better income to provide my daily needs and to help my husband in our monthly bill. I would say 2018 is my first year as a freelancer even though it is not as successful as others I am grateful to discover that freelancing is earning while staying at home taking care of your kids. I'm very positive and looking forward to this coming year that freelancing will be good to me and will be my number one source of income.

My freelancing was the same and quite stagnating with no extra income to boot unlike in the past years that my Adsense was earning. My main line is paid forum posting and it is not really a good year although I am still hopeful that forums will recover and be back to their position in the internet. It seems that I want to believe in the discussion that say Facebook Groups are killing the forums.

It was one of my worst years as a freelancer. However after numerous disappointments I realized that I would rather create a product and sell it rather than spend too much time applying for jobs and landing very few of them.

That is why starting next year, I'll be focusing more on writing ebooks which I'll list in a number of stores and also do some affiliate marketing. It will take a little while before I start earning a decent income from those two but within six months I should start getting some returns.

I only started freelancing October this year. It was quite an exciting adventure. Though my income is just enough for a starter, I am looking forward for more in 2019. I believe that 2019 will be more exciting than 2018. I will fully utilize my freelancing career in 2019.

I am truly grateful to be able to start my freelancing career. This year is a good start in making steps to earn few good bucks to help my family. I am looking forward to an even rewarding experience in the freelance industry. Right now, it gonna be real tough to get in there, however I believe its not going to be tough as continually tries to make progress and learn new ways. I love writing, its a passion I believe I was born with and I got to make the most of it.

I have just started freelancing last month, so it is still a bit nay for me. So far my income is not as much as I was earning before and I have not yet achieving the time freedom that I am seeking. But this is to be expected since I am still new in this field and I know it will take time to establish a career here.

Last 2017 when I started really concentrating working online my earnings were really low but now after a year and a half it has already tripled. Well it's not really high, it can't even support myself with it let along my whole family but at least the change was quite significant.

Any tips you might share? This was my first year as a freelancer. Overall, I can't complain! It was better than having a regular job, I was able to save up money, and reach several personal goals. Nevertheless, quite a few moments were a little bit rough around the edges, and I'd like to be better prepared for next year!

You know what? It wasn't half bad! I perused a masters diploma and combined my studies with freelance work in the digital field! It has been a good year, and hope it has also for you!

I cannot also complain as this year I figured out a way to maximize my productivity working online as I also got exposed to numerous means of making money online that I have made almost ten times what I made in 2017.

For me in terms of earning it was a disappointing year. I earned very little, especially as I had high hopes that I could survive the hard economic times in my Country with this income. I learnt that you should diversify your income streams when you are freelancing. The income stream I was relying on was a complete let down and the amount I earned from it was almost negligible, it has been one of my biggest disappointment of 2018. In 2019 I intend to continue to learn new skills and diversify.

Though I have been in freelancing world for a few years, I did not really work hard on getting projects as my main role is to take care of my children at home. I only got one application development project and one web design project this year. Though I didn't really earn much, I am happy with it as I have actually decided to just work on web design but not web development anymore, as it requires too much time. I suppose I will spend more time with my kids these few years when they are still young, then only I will put more efforts in my freelance career later. I am still grateful to be able to find some useful sites for me to catch up with some knowledge and news.

I'm new to the freelancing world and so far so good, sometimes it gets complicated but that's the nature of freelancing. I still have lots of things to learn and I absolutely need to work on my patience because I'm not really good at that. So yeah, it's a "yay" for me too and I hope it'll be a "yay" too next year. My only regret is that I started late with this but it's okay, at least I'm trying.

I think that my 2018 freelancing career was very tough and challenging as I experience some problems in dealing with my freelancing sites. There was a time that I was not able to give time on it as I was busy with my offline job. I was having a hard time before in trying to double my time just to make an extra income out of my freelancing sites which is something that makes me think of. I was really thankful that despite of my busy schedule I was still able to work on my freelancing sites even in just a few hours or minutes in a single day. It was already fine with me as long as I am earning

My freelancing career this year is so great. It's so great but, I'm a little disappointed of myself for finding out about this job just this year. I could've earned extra income through this before. Anyway, I'm still thankful.

In the beginning of December I thought that it would be a very busy month with a lot of online jobs. But it wasn't the case, since the 24th of December, I opted to take a week off. That means it's all rest and relaxation for the last week of the year. I do think I deserve to just rest and take it slow for a change.
