Delayed Reviews for Services Rendered.

I know I'm not alone on this but something needs to be set up to protect a buyer for services that take time to work.

For example SEO or other time sensitive guarantees stated by the vendors.

If a vendor on here tells me they guarantee me that I can have a website that will make me $xx to $xxx per month but it will take 1 to 3 months to see results then a review should be able to be held until their service produces results in that time frame.

That's right we should be able to reserve the right to write a negative review based on the actual results of the service and not just the procedure of the service.

For the laymen it is called a ROI  (RETURN ON INVESTMENT) after all if the vendor is guaranteeing such results then we should have something in place that holds him/her to that guarantee.

Even in my own local business I offer a 1 year warranty on craftsmanship,  guess what?  Never had a return call due to my craftsmanship.  That is because I do the job right the first time and never have to be called back to redo the job.

I definitely think that if someone is promising results, then you should be well within your rights to hold off on a review until you've had a chance to ascertain whether or not the product/service has worked in the way it was intended. After all, you can only know that it works/performs as expected when you've had a few weeks or months, depending on what was agreed to with the seller.

Being forced to provide a review earlier than that timeframe doesn't give you that opportunity to see how it performs.

Top SEO guys don't always promise results. They tell you what they think that is going to happen as long as you keep the faith with how everything is done. On that note, I think that anyone that promises results should not be given a review until it comes to pass.

Right and that is exactly what I'm saying is that if someone makes a promise or guarantees a certain outcome then a review should be held until it has been achieved. Its like a lock on a door is to keep people honest so would a review or at the very least they would refund your money or keep working until it achieves the guarantee they set forth not you.

You are right. One needs time to evaluate whether what they promised is clicking. I love it that way. Maybe this is why positive reviews take time.

Well, if you have a delayed review of the service that you rendered, the reader might get confused on the services that they are having.

Why would they get confused? I left a negative review because a vendor didn't do what they said they would do.

Well, that's how marketing strategy works, if the vendor tricked you that the product they are selling is really good then you have to give them a negative review right away so that they won't trick another people anymore.

Yeeeah, it is good to warn other people especially with numerous cons and liars out there. I think that one has to check the dealers carefully and their products before agreeing to review them.

Well, the truth is that you are definitely not going to do anything if the client never gives his reviews on your rendered services.

So, it's just something that you wake up to and overlook and move on to the next better client.

How did you discern that? It saves fussing? Well then explain why I'm here fussing about the fact I've left positive reviews for services that have a guarantee but still don't have results?

This is the sad thing about earning online. People just want to earn and earn without considering what the clients or cutomers want for improvement. They know that they'll make money and be saved from negative reviews, so most of the time, they ignore threads like this.

True true and so very true my friend. A lot of times we might only get concerned about our part of the deal or work and we forget how our actions affect the other people. It is always important to consider this as every action or inaction has its consequences.

Sad truth. They think more of money rather than quality. They would only want to get things done in order to get paid without leaving a room for improvement. They don't know, they might be catching small fishes while there are a lot more bigger fishes in the sea they are just too lazy to pay focus on it.

Money is the spice of life. All transaction end with the exchange of cash. Before this ritual is performed, the transaction is not over. After money exchange other things like reviews do not matter anymore. Yet it is reviews that guide us.

Some people will always be unappreciative of the good services they received by failing to give a good review on the service or products.

But when they received bad services, they would never waste time to open up their trap and fire bad reviews. Most people are just selfish.

First off you might want to rethink your position because you assume I care about feelings in this matter and all I care about is getting what I paid for and nothing less.

I have 3 businesses I operate locally in my city and the only 2 bad reviews I have is from 2 people who weren't my customers but it still didn't hurt my business.

If you think you should get a good merit for nothing think again!

I swing my hammer both ways and I leave a review on all my purchases in one way or another good or bad.

So don't lump me in with your customers because I'm sure I've never bought anything from you.

Some people do get carried away or caught up and forget to give your business products and services the good reviews they required which are very important to your business.

It's nothing to fret about, just reach out to them and ask them politely to give their reviews in order to help your business.

As a buyer on SEOclerks, I understand that certain jobs or tasks take a particular amount of time. So I won't leave a bad review unless the seller isn't keeping me updated on the progress of my order. I don't expect for example, SEO work to be delivered in a week or two. But I do expect an update from time to time until the moment the results are expected to come flowing in. Total radio silence after a purchase is never good.

Then you get what I'm saying. Most of the vendors here are like bad contractors in your neighborhood who fly by night. They come in do a job or not do a job take the money and run.

Well so far in my experience here, I've gotten all of my work I paid for done. Not necessarily 'on time,' but still completed nonetheless. However, my advice would be to avoid certain services, especially ones that seem too fantastical or impossible to complete in the time allotted and through online or digital means.

Right, but this isn't an issue of the work being done as much as the guarantees being made. For instance I've paid for articles to be written and while they did claim to write the articles their other claim was they were not spun articles and that they would make sense when read.

But turns out that it was spun and using synonyms of words that you could tell was not a normal flow of conversation.

It is going to be difficult to judge SEO based on this. One thing that I have noticed is that it is not always easy for one to achieve a bigger success at a period of time just by calculating it and this is one reason we should always look at things from the other angle of not predicting success.

Vendors shouldn't promise a figure because there's no way to predict the results more so the actual profit or number of sales, therefore vendors shouldn't promise what they can't deliver. Unless it's clearly written and understood by both parties that nothing is guaranteed.

I definitely agree with this. Not only is it a logical system but I’d say it’s damn near necessary. Logically, if you’re providing a service that can take up to three months to bear any fruit, the customer should have no right to review your service after only a month has gone by.

You would think that people would have the moral capacity to abide by this, almost as if it were an unwritten rule, but I suppose some people just lack that much sense or regard.

I think you contradict yourself. Are you saying that the customer has no right to leave a review after a month if the service takes more than that to bear fruit? If that is what you are saying then you're wrong. And I don't mind telling you how wrong you are.

We have to understand that reputation is not based on what we are going to do but on what we have already done. So, it is too early or too premature to give reviews for something that is not due. Maybe we can give our comments or compliments after a certain period of time to be fair.

Right at the very least let us add to our review as a side note so other can see the results of the guarantee being made.

When giving or making guarantees to a client, it is also like giving out promises that may be used as your own reflection. If you guarantee that a certain service give them results within a period of time, you should be able to provide it as it may give you negative reviews if you failed to do so. Sticking with your words will give your customers an impression that they can trust your words which is something that is really hard to earn.

The usual issue with a service provider is the expected results that even when there is a delay of one day, the client would already complain to high heavens. A transaction for service is a relationship that there should be understanding on both sides of the fence. When the client shows ignorance then the service provider should exhibit more patience and when the service provider is demanding then the client should understand the hectic schedule. Anyway, this issue may be about the review that I hope would end amicably.

Yes they should always deliver what they have promised because it's not free and clients are paying for their service, they deserve great services.
