When you're trying to boost your business online, influencer marketing is always a great way to do this in a shorter amount of time than most marketing campaigns. Sure, influencer marketing takes a bit of time because you have to do it 3+ times to build authority, but that can be done over a couple weeks and you'll begin to see people following you and purchasing your products or services. The one problem that people get into when starting out their influencer marketing campaigns is they don't understand how much a good post actually costs. Every niche costs a different amount, which is understandable, but some industries are just insanely priced at $500+ per post. An easy way to get into influencer marketing, without breaking your budget, is to have all of your employees start posting on social media platforms in order to send leads to your website and boost your sales.
Having your employees write in your industry, posting quality images and content about your niche, and linking everything back to your website it will bring people in from all over the world. Each of your employees will have their own voice online, making all of their posts unique to each other, and potentially tapping into multiple markets that you might not be able to do yourself.
Think about it, if you had 10 employees posting in your industry, that's 10 potential influencers later on that could be bringing in massive amounts of traffic and sales. Of course, you would need to disclose on each profile that you or your employee works for the advertisements that are being posted, so you're not falsely reviewing something in a positive way and getting in hot water if you do get on the FTC's radar.
Employees are actually an untapped resource when it comes to influencer marketing, and it could work out extremely well, which has me confused as to why people don't already do it all the time. Sure, there are plenty of companies out there that are already doing this, and making plenty of money from it, but they are the minority of businesses in this world. Companies don't really like taking this route because it takes a long time to build up just one profile, let alone 10 employee profiles, so companies don't always go in this direction. One way to help boost the speed of having your employees become industry influencers is to require them to make 5 or 10 posts a week to their social media profiles in order to get people coming in.
If you did have 10 employees publishing content to become influencers, your marketing plan will essentially be in overdrive and 10x more powerful since there would be 100x more work being done than you could be doing on your own if you had a minimum amount of posts per week.
Your employees can actually help answer any questions that come to your website, since they are pools of knowledge about your business, and the potential customers will enjoy every word they employee is typing up. Since your employees have been working for you, they likely know all the inner workings of your business, which means they can easily answer anything about your website they come across. Another good thing to think of is to have them all set up Google alerts and jump into action when your business is mentioned online. If they don't happen to know the answer, they can forward the link to your team and I'm sure someone will know the answer
In conclusion
Most of us know the power of a strategic influencer marketing campaign, but not many people are actually utilizing influencers in their industry. I'm not exactly why people aren't using this advertising medium because it works extremely well if you pay the influencer to post a few times a week for your website or business. If you can't afford to hire a bunch of influencers, but you have some employees, you can require them to build up their dedicated work accounts to essentially become influencers in your industry over time. This will bring in plenty of traffic and sales, boosting your business and not spending a ton of money on influencer marketing through 3rd parties.
