A lot of people write up a basic service page and don't think anything of it. You'll need to write up your service page so it pitches your service and makes people want to purchase from you before they even contact you. I've written up plenty of service pages for people here on SEOclerks and they all have said their sales have increased because of it.
Optimize your service page
Many people actually pass on this because they don't think of it. Your service page is going to turn up on the major search engines, so you need to be optimizing it as well as you can in order to increase the chances of pulling them in and making a sale. There is also an internal search system on SEOclerks that you can optimize for, which shouldn't be overlooked because it's used all of the time
Advertise your service
You can actually advertise your services here on SEOclerks. You can do a homepage feature or a category feature in order to increase your sales. A homepage feature obviously costs more because you will be on the homepage all the time and a category feature is much less because you won't be seen as often. Both of these work extremely well at increasing your sales and should be looked into. Bumping your service will help increase your sales, but it's not going to be stuck at the top of your category or on the homepage, so you're better off investing your money in a service that keeps you at the top.
Over deliver your services
One big thing that I always tell people to do is over deliver their services! So many people just do the bare minimum and that's never a good way to run your business. I sell a content writing service and everyone who purchases a 500 word article always gets a minimum of 750 words They think they're getting a high quality 500 word article and they open up the file to see a massive amount of content, which makes them super happy and they usually come back for more work. Some of my article writing purchases were for 500 words and I sent back 1500 Imagine how happy that client was lol.
If you follow what I said above, you'll likely increase your sales more than what you are doing now. It doesn't take long to do all of this, you can probably do it in 30 minutes or less, and it's worth every second invested into it. I know, you're not making money when you edit your own services, but you will increase your sales overall because of it

You need to add quality images: You can use an image you made in MS paint and expect someone to see you as an authority in the field. You need to use Photoshop, or something similar, in order to get some great images developed. Since you're a designer/developer it shouldn't be too difficult for you to do something like this[/*]
You need to add some reviews: What I like to recommend to sellers is to screenshot their positive reviews and then add those reviews to their service page, even though the reviews can be seen at the bottom of the page. You need to get the positive words of others in front of the visitors as quick as possible, you can't expect them to scroll to the bottom to read anything positive. [/*]
Format your service page: A lot of sellers will just add a wall of text and complain they don't have any sales. This is because no one wants to read 3 run on paragraphs that are all merged together. If you format your content correctly, it will pull people down the page and they will read everything more often than if it was a big wall of text.[/*]
Optimize your service page Many people actually pass on this because they don't think of it.
