Write the reason you're deleting this FAQ
When you're a writer or a blogger, you think of how you can write up content for yourself and post it on your own website or blog. Not many people go the route of dedicating themselves to write quality content for other websites in the hopes of getting some benefits that other users aren't rewarded. When I'm talking about being a dedicated writer for other websites, I'm not talking about submitting a guest post here and there, I'm talking about writing every day in hopes of getting rewarded for your work.
You can get rewarded in many ways that can benefit you immensely. Not all the time will you be offered a paid position to write up quality content, but that is definitely a possibility. You should target the websites or forums you want to gain benefits from and think of what you can write for them. Writing on forums won't get you noticed as much as if you were to submit content to a blog, but you shouldn't write them off completely just yet. The smaller forums, the ones that aren't yet in the limelight, can be good targets for you to post high-quality content on in order to get noticed by the staff and moderators who are running everything.
In this discussion, if you haven't figured it out yet, is about the benefits you can get simply from adding quality content to other peoples websites and forums, and those benefits are:
Becoming a Moderator
You'd actually be surprised how easy it is to get on the radar of the staff members at a blog or forum. All you really have to do is be active on the website or forum you're targeting and over time you will likely get contacted by the person who is in charge of appointing moderators. Usually, this is an unpaid position, but that's fine because you can now get all your posts in the limelight as a part of the free benefits from being a moderator
I was a moderator of a smaller marketing forum and was able to post directly to the blog as well as get more attention to my forum threads because I was a mod, and people always want to be on your good side lol. If you have a sales thread, and you're a moderator at the same time, you will see an increase in sales because people will see your status on the forum or blog and automatically think of you as the best possible candidate to get the job done.
Getting All of Your Posts Accepted
When you're posting a lot of quality content to a website for a while, you will notice that your posts won't go into moderation as much as they did when you were starting off. This is because you've been granted permissions to put your posts at the top of the moderation queue or you might be one of the lucky few and see your posts auto-accepted, bypassing the moderation firewall lol
Having all of your posts accepted right away or in a short amount of time means you can churn out high-quality content and not have to worry about how long it will take before Google sees it, resulting in higher rankings for your website if you have some links in the content
Getting Paid For Your Guest Posts
Blogging is a great way to earn money online, but you need to wait a while before your content starts to rank within the search engines. Guest posting, however, gets you paid almost immediately because you were accepted by the owner of the website or forum you're posting on. This means you get paid per post and you don't have to wait for your content to rank high in the search engines and get clicks on your ads, or have advertisers pay you for ad placements.
Paid guest posts can payout much higher than you would expect. I've written a few guest posts and gotten paid between $50 and $150 for each of them, and that's not even the highest! I've seen some really long, 6,000+ word articles/discussions, written up as a guest post and the person claimed they were paid $500+ for it I wouldn't mind writing up one of those a day for $500+
Getting Sticky Sales Threads
If you frequent forums a lot, you've probably come across sticky threads pretty often. They are similar to the featured services here on SEOclerks, they stick to the top of the listings on the homepage or the top of the category page.
Getting noticed and obtaining free sticky benefits is a huge deal because your post can sit at the top of the category or homepage, sending your service or website a massive amount of traffic over time. I've seen some stickies get hundreds of thousands of views simply from being on popular forums. Imagine if you could get your sales thread to sit at the top of 10 forums, do you think you could make some extra money from that?
In Conclusion
Submitting high quality content to forums and blogs with no obvious intention of getting posting benefits will likely get you some benefits over time lol The benefits will range from getting your posts auto approved to the website or forum asking you if you want to be a mod, giving you the ultimate power when it comes to running a website or blog
