Actually, yes, and I once really enjoyed it. I actually miss my myspace page from time to time. Come to think of it, I think I lost my password before I ever disabled it, so it is still floating around out there in the Cloud I guess. I liked myspace better than facebook for some reasons. For example, having fun customizing was my page was cool, but facebook is definitely more efficient and preferable for other reasons, in terms of instant messaging, features, and basic compatibility.

I remember MySpace and Hi5. Those were some really good sites to actually make friends at that time. To be honest I felt safer on those sites compared to the social media sites that we have nowadays. Nowadays many people try to steal other's details or do many other illegal things through the social media sites. However, I cannot deny the fact that those social media sites have helped me to reconnect with my old friends and keep in touch with them and my relatives. I have also been able to grow my business due to Facebook.

Several of my friends in middle school had Myspace accounts, but I never got around to signing up for one. About the time they were trying to get me to sign up was when Facebook made its debut online, and I ended up opting for a Facebook account instead. Functionality-wise, I don't think I'd trade Facebook for Myspace, but the older platform did have some things about it I thought were really cool.

I think my friend had it set up so a specific song would play when you looked at his profile, which I always thought was cool. Of course, I could see how that could be annoying to users as well.

I really loved the animation and the music you could attach to your Myspace page--I think you would have liked it, Articulate. You could probably still get a quick account there if you just wanted to play around with it. I have heard lately that a lot of people are going back to it and it is supposedly having a resurgence. I can tell you that I enjoyed my account there too, but then we all moved to facebook, so mine faded away.

Haha, yes, I do remember MySpace. I never really bothered to sign up to it because it wasn't my style but the majority of my friends had a profile. I think that MySpace was a bit different compared to Facebook - it was more focused around the younger crowd and just purely posting pictures/updates. Facebook has a very large target audience. Even my grandmother has a profile on Facebook Do you remember MySpace? also you can advertise, promote through it and more. I definitely prefer Facebook over MySpace.

I actually never had a MySpace account. I was just a bit too young so I don't think I even knew what it was back then. I think it was popular around 2004-2005 right? If so then I would have been around 5 or 6 back then so I would definitely have been too young for it. And by the time I was old enough to understand what a social network was, MySpace was slowing dying out which was quite sad. Most people nowadays will be growing up with Facebook now.

There were some old pictures I was looking for that I didn’t have handy, so I got the inclination that they would be on MySpace.
I haven’t used MySpace in about seven years. I don’t think anyone uses MySpace anymore, however, the pictures that I uploaded to my profile are still there. I had to go back into my old account and remember the old password. I had to download all the
pictures that did not carry over that were glimpses of moments I have experienced long ago. Sometimes I like to look back nostalgically as a nice looking glass into the past and reminisce on some of the good old times.

Authord,
I have the same issue--I know that I have a lot of stuff at my Myspace account that I would like to retrieve, but I have no idea what my password is, and the email account I used to open it has been erased. I guess I could contact customer service at this point, but I have not been too motivated to pursue the issue quite yet. I do prefer facebook to Myspace for some reasons. If I could combine what I like about both of these sites into one, then I think that would be pretty cool too.

I remember myspace. It was never a site that I had an account on though. It seemed that was quite popular in its day. I think that it was one of the first of its kind social media sites, and I think for a while it was the go to place for teens. It was a good place in its day.

I remember the time when most of the musicians and the celebs were on myspace. It was a good music and also social network. many people made friends on it. And then after the orkut and facebook it started to collapse. I guess they didn't innovate enough. And that was the way they end up having more of the clutter. So i think myspace has it's own issues and this has to be properly managed if not then it is going to cause a lot of issues.

It's weird because there are a lot of Twitter pages that are posting old images of celebrity MySpace pages. It's actually quite funny to see how these musicians and celebrities designed their various MySpace pages. Now, everyone's Facebook and Twitter pages are extremely professional but back then everyone was themselves on MySpace. No one cared whether or not it looked nice as long as they liked their page design.

Yes twitter seems to be taking place of myspace artists. I think for them it is working out. I do however found out that people are mixed on facebook and soundcloud. It's possible that in such case the myspace is something one should be finding better because it had decent amount of social media elements in that time. It's pity it's not there anymore. I guess internet is all about evolving. Same applies to mylot.

From what I remember, I had an account in Friendster before I created one in Myspace. The attraction of Myspace is the profile. It's like designing the profile to be attract. But wait, I think I already have an account in Facebook before Myspace. That's why I had forgotten all about Myspace because of Facebook. By the way, is Myspace still looking good with the number of users? Are they still getting new users?

Yea,can still remember this.It was a trend then.I had an account and I really made good friends and before you know everybody jumped to Facebook and I dumped my account to join Facebook and we got stuck. I think people enjoyed Facebook than it and MySpace died a natural dead.

Yep. And a LiveJournal and a bunch of long-forgotten social media. Everything has a life cycle.

I eventually closed it when it just wasn’t getting any eyeballs. I still have a mailing list, which, amazingly, still has active subscribers. I’ve thought about closing it, but as long as folks still use it, it doesn’t take that much time extra. I just have to remember to post to it.

Yes, I can recall that Myspace and HI5 had existed before the advent of Facebook, however, then came Facebook which really out muscled these two earlier sites and they had just gradually faded out of prominence. I am wondering if they are still around or if they had packed it in.

Oh I remember MySpace and until, I can still recall some memories that me and my friends had using that social media website. The only thing that kept me coming back to MySpace before was the music and trending videos. But music was the main thing that keeps me hooked using that social media.

Yes. I still can remember MySpace. How can I forget the company I used to work with before? That's where I found and met new friends, and eventually became one of my best buddies. I used to remember our forums, crazy topics and nonsense discussion with my friends. There, we had a lot of good memories saved. Pictures of our team building, selfies, group photos, recognition photos and a lot more good memories. I still found myself smiling every time I can hear MySpace. It is just so sad that now, it is no longer trending and none of my friends are using it. It gradually disappears when the facebook came.

I have an account in MySpace back in 2005. But I did not use it for a long period of time because friendster is the most popular during that time. What I like MySpace is you could see your online friends just like the feature of facebook.

I used MySpace in the past but I left it after I created an account there. It is very basic or you don't have more things to setup like Facebook.

Also, the traffic come from MySpace is very small and it can compare or having more traffic like Facebook or Twitter.

I joined MySpace in 2014 but I was never active. I never knew about it or what it was used for. I am glad to learn that it was a good social media site back then. Facebook was the first I joined and was able to learn how to use faster.

Yes, I still remember this site. I even visited my account a few weeks ago just to see how it looks differently from those years back up to now. I almost forgot what it was all about. I think it was about playlists and songs. I was still in highschool when I created my account there at my space.

Yeah I remember it. I used this site before and I found it cool but no as better as others social site. I think I had used it not for long because I have been busy using other social media until I learned that Myspace was not working anymore.

Yes, I remember MySpace. I remember that my kids were on MySpace before they were on Facebook. I remember that I created a MySpace but did not use it very much. I remember that Justin Timberlake purchased MySpace. What did he do with it? I don't know. I think he planned to resurrect it. Alas. He did not have miraculous powers. A 2016 report stated that Time Inc. now owns MySpace. Timberlake is a part owner. Is MySpace dead? To borrow a quote from the movie "Gladiator" (2000). "Not yet. ... Not yet."

I think MySpace can still be resurrected if given the resources and the right people to run it. When Friendster closed shop, I was wondering why it did not fight the trend. I am not a business or marketing guru but if you still have the resources or budget and the site is still in place then there is hope. With MySpace I guess they need a partner company that has the money. It can be done if they put their act together.
