I'm not sure if everyone is aware but you can actually get a SSL certificate for free from LetsEncrypt. The only downside is that you have to renew the certificate every 3 months but considering how much money it actually saves you, it is great. Because of this, I think hosting sites should force users to use SSL with their sites because it makes everything safer. Considering Google now punishes sites that don't use SSL as well means it is good for site owners to have SSL. What do you guys think?

It depends each website owner, if they like using SSL then they will go with it.
I don't think hosting sites can force their users to use SSL.
Google doesn't punish sites that don't use SSL. You should research this information before saying everyone about this. Of course, I am using LetsEncrypt for my websites and it is free, just some clicks from your hosting control panel and you could enable it for using.
