5 reasons you need to be starting your SEO campaigns right now

If you're reading this, you probably have an idea of what SEO is.  I'm not saying that you can just do it all by yourself because you're an expert, but you probably know you need to be doing a few things in order to increase your rankings lol.  You've probably been told that you need SEO in order to rank your website higher in the search engines to gain more clients, just like every other business owner out there.  I'm here to tell you that you will definitely need to start your SEO campaigns sooner rather than later for the 5 specific reasons covered in this discussion.

Now maybe you don't think SEO is right for your website or you think you're better off starting your SEO campaign in a few months when everything calms down.  I'm here to say that procrastinating is only going to hold you back when it comes to SEO.  Don't just write it off as if someone was trying to sell you snake oil, this is a real thing and it will help you out immensely

Now I may be biased because I run an SEO company and I've been in the Online Marketing game since 2003, but there are more people out there less qualified that will agree with all the points I'm going to make below.


1. SEO takes time and so will your ROI
When you're doing SEO for your own website or having someone do it for you, it will take time to show that it's working before you begin to be less worried about it.  It really depends on your niche and what you've already done in terms on on page optimization and off page optimization.  If you are in a very low competitive niche, it will likely be pretty easy to rank as long as you get some high authority niche related links.  A tough niche could take you months or even years to crack into the top results because more companies are focusing on SEO in order to siphon as much traffic from the search engines as possible.

Now I know for a fact that most businesses don't invest in SEO because they think it simply doesn't work.  Well I'm here to tell those people that they are fools and their competitors are likely ranked much higher than them in the search engines lol.  SEO does work and it does exactly what it says it will if it's done right, and that's get those sweet sweet top rankings where all your traffic is hanging out lol.


2. This is the best time for SEO
Now some of you reading this might have been from the time before when you could post 1,000,000 exact match anchors on random websites and rank for anything you wanted, but I'm not talking about black hat ways of SEO lol. 

Today's SEO methods will weed out all the lazy people and make the quality companies even better.  I say this because there are so many people out there selling a "quality" service which is complete garbage.  Now from my own perspective I see this as a good thing because those people may eventually come to me in order to fix everything, and they will be paying a premium lol.  The good SEO companies have always cost more than the pop up SEO shops you can find all over the internet, and people are starting to realize this.

SEO today is great for you as well because you don't have to be a multi-millionaire in order to compete for the top spots when it comes to the rankings.  You can just be diligent and work on a specific schedule getting all of your links out there in a white hat manner and you will be rewarded eventually.  Remember, the more difficult the niche, the longer it takes.


3. A better ROI than other methods
SEO has a great ROI because most of the work you are doing will stick around for years to come.  This isn't like if you were to order 500,000 flyers and sending them out to everyone in a 10 mile radius.  This is actual content and links you're posting around the internet as well as on your own pages.  Even this discussion will stand the test of time and likely pull in some visitors down the road because it will gain some age and people may link to it

SEO is compounding, and so is it's ROI.  You can continually do work on your website in terms of optimization and it will only make everything better each time you run a campaign as long as it's done right. 


4. Your competitors already lapped you
When you're getting into a niche, you will need to know that your competitors have already started doing plenty of SEO in order to rank themselves higher within the SERPs (search engine results pages).  This means you will just have to do extra work in order to over take their solid positioning within the rankings. 

For this simple reason, the longer you wait to start up your SEO, the longer it will take for you to ge those top rankings you've always wanted.


5. You can't go wrong, usually...
If you're intimidated by the thought of SEO and how it works, you don't have to worry.  You can usually outsource the work to a credible agency, like my own, and we can take the burden of increasing your rankings while you focus on other aspects of your business.

Some SEO companies will require you to sign a 6 month to 1 year contract because they know that results take time.  You can always find an SEO company, just like mine, that will work with you and your budget without having you commit too much.  Now I will require a contract usually, but there are clauses in there that let the client break that contract for many reasons.  I mainly have the contract so that I have it in writing that the client understands that SEO can take a long time and just because they aren't seeing results right now doesn't meant they won't get a flood of traffic in 6 months.  You'd be surprised at how many people get angry after they sign up for an SEO plan and a day or week later are complaining about how they aren't getting any sales yet lol



In Conclusion:
The sooner you start doing SEO, or outsourcing it to a credible company, the sooner you will see that positive ROI.  If you're not running a proper SEO campaign already, you're getting left behind by your competitors because they are.  So get started with your SEO, it's never too late
