If you have a physical product then you're likely trying to sell it online. Are you trying to sell it from a store front or is that step nothing you're interested in at this point in time? Selling from a physical store is a great way to market your product because your store front is basically a large billboard.

Looking at your storefront as a way to generate a massive amount of sales is something you could achieve over time, but at the beginning you should see it more as a marketing play. You can get a big billboard that shows to everyone that passes whether it be someone in a car or foot traffic. You would need your store to be in a good location since you're relying on foot traffic and motorists seeing your new fancy signs lol.


What you'll need to focus on


1. Your Product
If you have a garbage product then your business probably won't do well anyway. You probably won't get to the point where youc an do anything with a store, so make sure your product is top notch and offers value to anyone that walks by.

Can you sell it to at least 50% of the people that walk past your door?
Now you'll need to be honest with yourself here. If your answer is a hesitant yes or a no, then you probably shouldn't think about opening a store for your business. I say this because if you can't target at least half of the people in your area, how do you think you're going to profit? People open up computer repair stores, clothing boutiques, hair salons, etc. because they can pull in sales right off of the street. If you're opening a store for something like SEO services and expecting to get a lot of foot traffic to sign up, you're insane lol.


2. Location
If you do have a product that can be sold to at least 50% of the people in the area, then you'll have a better chance of being successful with a physical store front. A good location with a higher lease price per month is better than a bad location with a normal priced lease. Would you rather pay $2,000 a month for a store front that has 30,000 people walk past it every 30 days or $1,500 for a store front that has 1,000 people walk past every month? The $2,000 lease would be much more appealing to the general business person because of the increased chance of making a sale from foot traffic.


3. Store Front Advertisements
When people set up stores they usually advertise online, but they forget to get peoples attention as they walk by the actual store. You can set up banners that have an "XX% of for today only!" sign or banner outside of your store in order to get people in to see how much something will cost. If you can get them into the store you've won half of the battle already.

Another way to get people in eventually is to hand out little gift bags for free or flyers to anyone that passes by. People love free sh*t and will likely take the bags from you without hesitation. A lot of people are use to flyer handouts and will likely pass you, at least they do in Chicago lol. But that doesn't mean your flyers won't be successful if you have someone handing them out all day. Think about it, if you have 30,000 people walking past your store and you get just 1% of those people to take a flyer, that's 300 potential customers each month. Running the business in front of a store is hard. The suitable way is to make a store for your products and to go for huge online promotion and the products will be ship from the store location. Anybody can buy the product by goung the store location but maximum will receive the product by a shipment from that location.

If you have a storefront, you can try selling your products online and make extra income. All you have to do is build a website, add products and market your website online and offline.
Likewise, if you have online store, you may perhaps want to launch a store. This might be little expensive as you have to build a physical store and it costs money. However, this is really helpful if your customer base is local.

If you already have an online shop and you are doing direct selling (not dropshipping or affiliate marketing), setting up a front store does not cost you much. Since you already have products in your warehouse, all you need a place to set up your shop. Likewise, if you already have a front store, you do not have to spend a lot of money to open an online store. All you need is a website. Setting up an online store does not cost you much.

I don't have any physical product as of yet. But I am thinking about having some products on the side. And I may sell them on social media and other online retailer platforms. As you can see there is a lot of demand for the same. You may not find it easier to sell such without any particular product on your own. So that's why having shopify store definitely helps. And I may make use of that of sure.

If you mean by storefront is the actual physical store where the goods for sale are situated, you have to take into consideration the needed budget to put up that physical store. Renting a store space is not cheap and you also need to hire a store attendant unless you have the time to man it yourself. Maybe I would go for a poster or a tarpaulin that I could post in the street or even pay to advertise on the back of a public utility bus. But not a storefront because I simply cannot afford it.

you need a lot of money to set up a front store, however, if you already doing B2C business, then you already have an inventory. If you have inventory, it will not cost you much to set up a store. I think to have a front store will help your online business.

I had tried a storefront before and I know it isn't as easy as stated, one needs a good budget to rent the space and there are taxes to be paid which doesn't come cheap but if one cut jumps all these hurdles then one is on the journey to success.The next thing is to promote the products both online and offline to get it really started.
