Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each.

When it comes to being extremely successful when it comes to online marketing and websites, you will want to think of getting in the sights of Googles business buying team. They are very generous when they find something they like, so think of what you can design that would compliment one of their systems. It's not going to be an easy task and you will invest a lot of time and money into it, but it's definitely worth it if you can sell to Google or another big corporation Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each.

So let's get started.

Here is a list of the last 4 acquisitions Google made since 2013 which were at least $500,000,000

Waze (waze.com)
Waze was founded in order to share real time traffic delays around your area. Drivers are the ones who are helping each other out when it comes to construction or accidents and how to avoid them to have the quickest travel times. The best part about this is that the users don't have to actually report anything themselves, if the app is open it will calculate overall travel times and your speed along with your location and compile all the data with other users to get an accurate calculation.

Waze was acquired by Google in January of 2013 for $1,100,000,000. Yes, that's over a billion dollars for a traffic app that users don't even have to use Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each. The beauty of this app is that it helps with Google Maps and that is the main reason Google purchased it. You don't even realize you're using the code from Waze when you open up maps, but how do you think you get all those red and yellow bars popping up on your maps when you're driving Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each.

Nest Labs (nest.com)
Nest labs was originated to make your home automation more cutting edge by adding self learning and wifi enabled thermostats, smoke detectors and security systems to the market. Back in 2011 it released it's very first product, the Nest Learning Thermostat and it was an instant hit with anyone from tech geeks to stay at home moms. In 2013 Nest Labs then launched it's Nest Protect Smoke and Carbon Monoxide Detector with a great deal of success due to it's automation just like the thermostat. After Nest Labs acquired the company Dropcam, they then launched a newly re-branded Cam that was released to the public in 2015. They certainly have a good track record over the last few years even though they only have a few big products, but all you need is 1 to be found online Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each.

Nest Labs was acquired by Google in January of 2014 for $3,200,000,000. That's a staggering amount for this company, but if you're like me, you can see the promise it has Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each.

Google DeepMind (deepmind.com)
DeepMind Technologies Ltd is an artificial intelligence company, or an AI company that primarily builds algorithms for a lot of the games, simulations and eCommerce apps you see today. The great thing about this company is that they are on the back end of a ton of things and you don't even know it, but Google does Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each. They cater to an international market which means more companies to work with for a higher dollar value at their next evaluation Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each.

DeepMind Technologies Ltd. was acquired by Google in late January of 2014 for $500,000,000. Not a bad paycheck if you ask me Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each.

Apigee (apigee.com)
If you deal with API's then you've probably heard of apigee since they are one of the leaders of API technology for big corporations and developers. Some of the customers of Apigee are as follows: eBay, Walgreens, Bechtel and Gilt Groupe and this doesn't even cover the tens of thousands of developers who utilize Apigee to help with their own API's and applications.

Apigee was acquired by Google in early september of 2016 for $625,000,000. I can see exactly why they purchase this company since they have an enormous marketplace that they can market their newly acquired API company to Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each.

These are the last 4 acquisitions that Google has made since 2013 which were at least $500,000,000. Google doesn't play around when it comes to something they want, so do you have plans of starting something like these businesses?

In conclusion:
If you have something that can benefit Google in a major way, you have a chance of getting on their radar and turning a major profit. Now most of these companies that I listed above were already making millions each year, so you'll have to grind like a champ or get funding each year from private investors and still bootstrap everything. It's possible to do so get out there and start developing something great Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each.

Nice post Razzy. I always find it interesting as to what big companies decide to invest into. Google is sooo smart when it comes to buying out companies or investing, guess that's why they're as big as they are. Often people do not even realise half the companies that are run by Google.

I'd like to add Dark Blue Labs to your list which is an AI company from United Kingdom. It was bought by Google for around £400million and it's now the second AI company from UK that they've acquired so we will probably see a lot of future developments in that area.

In conclusion, if Google is interested in buying your company or investing in it then you know that you're doing something right, haha Google acquired 4 companies since 2013 for over $500,000,000 each.

I did not know about any of these websites prior to Google acquisition and after Google acquisition. However, I hear that YouTube and Blogspot, both are not original Google's product. Is this true?
I also heard that Google once tried to acquire Yahoo. However, Yahoo decided to partner with Bing instead.

I think demise of Yahoo and Bing is so small and consistent per year. That you may even ignore the news. Now the news is coming out that Verizon is buying Yahoo? You can imagine how many hands it will change before going bankrupt and closure. Not all tech news are worthy.

I am using Waze whenever I am in the car. It is surprising that Google had bought it. All the while, I thought it was an indedendent company meaning a small one. Waze is a hit in our country and it is being used by tv networks for the evening news to show the traffic conditions on the main roads. Gee, that amount is mind-boggling to me. Maybe the makers of Waze can now retire and wallow in that money.
