Recently I've noticed that there are a lot of unanswered questions on the discussions page and I encourage everyone to ask questions or comment. I know that a lot of these unanswered discussions are mine, but why is that? Am I writing a closed discussion because I answer every possible question that could come up or are people just lurking and don't want to respond?

Ask questions
When you're reading something on the community discussion and you don't understand something, just ask us and we will respond I know that I don't ask people a lot of questions at the end of my discussions like some writers do, but that shouldn't stop you from typing for a few seconds to ask something that is on your mind

Your teachers always told you that there was no such thing as a dumb question, and for the most part they're right So take your teachers words to heart and open up on the discussions by asking questions.

Commenting
If you don't have a question but you love the discussion that's going on, get involved! Comment on the discussion about what you like or add your input about the topic. No one will have all the pieces to the puzzle but you might have the missing ones and can add it into the discussion to make it whole. In all honesty I do write a lot and sometimes I do miss some key points of my discussion, it doesn't mean that I don't know about it, it just means I've got a lot of things running through my head and I may have had intentions on hitting that one point but passed it up because my mind started to wander.

Why should I start posting on the Community Discussion?
Well for starters, if you're a seller here on SC then you will get your services bumped by contributing content to the community discussion. Now with that being said, you should be typing up some stuff that takes you more than a minute to do. Don't post some garbage discussion just to get a bump because most likely it won't get accepted and you'll get annoyed.

Whenever I'm typing something out on the community discussion section of SC I will usually write down what I want to talk about and add bullet points to each idea. Then I will generate a title, add a short intro and write about each bullet point (you can see that in this discussion ).

Writing on the community discussion not only shows your writing skills to the entire community but it will bump your posts and also build your popularity among all the SC members. If you were looking for a big writing job, posting on the Community Discussion is a good way to get noticed. I've been approached a few times by big blogs asking me to come write for them. Usually they offer me a pay per post type deal and for that I usually pass because they want to pay me $5 for 800 words, and I simply can't accept that due to the fact it would take me much longer to write for them than what I make now with my other websites.

Some of you are saying "Well that's easy money if you know how to type!" and that's true, but I like to take my time writing and get everything laid out. I can type an 800 word article in less than 8 minutes if I know what I'm covering, but the prep work to the article takes about 5 minutes or more and that's where the real time is invested. For a lot of people this would be a great opportunity, but for me it's not the best because I would have to work on my other websites less and that's not possible if I want to keep food on the table lol.

In Conclusion:
Asking questions and commenting isn't something you should be afraid of. If you read a discussion and have a question, just ask and we will come respond You can get noticed by other big blogs simply by posting a lot on the SC community discussion section and get a full time job A lot of people want to know how to be a profitable writer, but they're not getting their content out there to be seen. SC is one of your ways to get in front of the eyes of thousands of readers and potentially your next paying job
