Do-Follow Vs No-Follow

If Page Rank is dead, does that also mean the distinction between do-follow and no-follow
links is also now irrelevant?

Now it is getting clearer to me that all links are supposed to be Do-follow unless it is explicitly indicated to be a no-follow link. That means when the webmaster tags his site with a no-follow then it becomes a no-follow but when there is no such tag then automatically it is a do-follow. Sometimes I get annoyed with the numerous terms that I come across in discussions about SEO. It seems there people nowadays have the penchant to coin new terms like black hat and gray hat.
