Some people say you need your own affiliate website for affiliate link promotion, but i have made a few pretty good sales just by promoting my affiliate link by itself. For instance, I put my affiliate link to my own forum posting service in my signature line on a similar webmaster forum and got a $300 sale. The buyer was mine, meaning he signed up through my own affiliate link to purchase my service, so the 10% affiliate commission went back to me. That was my biggest sale ever. And, having that $30 go into my own pocket was a really good feeling.
Some people are actively using Twitter for tweeting out those affiliate links and maybe that works for them but to me, it comes across as super spammy and I think a lot of those SEOClerks affiliate links just get ignored. My best advice is to be active on a webmaster/business related forum (more than one if you can) and really contribute to that community as much as possible. Be sure you include your signature link on your posts, if that is allowed. Don't make it spammy, just give a nice little (affiliate) link to your own profile or one of your best services with a simple statement such as, 'Hire me', so people will know you are available for work. Even if the person clicking through doesn't hire you for work, they might buy from someone else. At least, this is how I got the majority of my affiliate sales. My best guess is these SEOClerks super affiliates are constantly promoting. Another thing, they are giving out the free $5 coupons and that gets a lot of sign ups. After all, if a person gets $5 free, they are likely to spend it. You can find out more about the $5 coupon (and if you qualify to give those out) by creating a new ticket at the support desk.
