How long have you been freelancing and have you noticed any pattern coming up towards Christmas, over the Christmas period and just after Christmas?
I am just wondering if there is a pattern to the way people spend around this time?
I have no idea because I have not done SEO freelancing before and that is not my main line of work anyway, so even now I don’t have enough clients to see if there is a pattern or not.
Logically thinking I would predict that the sales for any SEO freelancers would go up in October and maybe a little in November, as anyone running a business would most likely be preparing for a surge of sales just before Christmas and also perhaps over the Christmas period so business owners would want all of that work done and dusted with improved rankings by the time December starts.
Then I would think December would be quiet for backlinking and ranking type of work while perhaps social media promotion services would rise?
Then January would be relatively quiet while everyone recovers from Christmas and the new year, business owners would be taking stock of where their business is and planning for the year, with February things going back to normal perhaps with a surge of new orders?

I don't provide SEO services myself so I can't say anything about these specific services. However, what I've noticed is that there's usually less sales during Christmas, most likely due to the fact that people want to spend their time with their families etc. - That said, I've also noticed that there's a HUGE spike in sales, right before these sort of Holidays and my guess is that people want to be "on top of their game" so to speak, and make sure they'll be ready when they come back to work again. I also believe this spike appears due to discounts and "special offers" as most people seem to offer good discounts for multiple services during this time.
When I sold social media services for instance, and with my brand building service I've seen this appear several times so I guess it would be the same with SEO and other services as well.
Cheers!
