Video Killed the Radio Star, These Halloween Videos Will Kill it Toooo....

Did you know that it was 35 years ago that MTV (Music Television) first came onto our screens as a cable TV show? And here's some even stranger true fact, the first music video they played was The Buggles' Video Killed the Radio Star! How ironic is that since TV and the rise of music television has been to blame in dwindling radio listeners ever since!

Then in the late 90's came the Internet. And after a few clicks here and there, and a patient wait, you could download a whole picture within around 15 minutes... And about another 10 years after that, following broadband Internet, Google gave us YouTube and has been satisfying our insatiable, unquenchable appetite for all things video ever since!

And who'd have thought back then, that video would be the most popular form of content today? Or that video marketing in fact would be reported to be 80% of all Internet traffic by 2019! If this has taught us one thing, it's that video is the bandwagon you need to jump on if you want to see success and results in your marketing and promotion!

Hey MIke. I can certainly say that since I started publishing Youtube videos is has had a massive impact on my marketing. I have reached so many more people, in addition to that my readers have engaged with me more and told me that they felt they could contact me after watching one of my videos. This is especially true for my addiction niche, which is amazing. I have reached so many addicts over the world and they have contacted me for help. How cool is that?

My videos are not professional at all though and I would love to have editing skills or have loads of money to hire someone to really add a wonderful professional touch to my videos.

Yes, video definitely did kill the radio star, but not entirely. I mean you can't watch video whilst you're driving, but you can listen to the radio, or whatever app you choose to if you have that feature enabled in your car. Youtube killed regular television broadcasting, surely. You can watch TV shows, movies, and user created content. On regular television, if you want to create your own content you would need to fork over thousands of dollars to the television moguls and the regular person doesn't have this kind of money so the chances of your content going on air is quite slim!

Now for the Halloween videos. Yes, I have seen a lot of those around... I wonder why.. LOL. It seems people Halloween, so they are creating all sorts of halloween videos for their viewers. I typically like the "scary prank" videos myself, those are quite hilarious and fun to watch. Sometimes I often binge halloween videos because halloween is so close

Halloween is definitely one of my favorite holidays, so I don't mind seeing all the halloween videos that the internet is sharing.

I think MTV will be long dead before we will see the end of the Radio, make you think doesn't it? As for Halloween, we have a big campaign in roll for one of our websites, did this last year and it turned out great, didn't quite went viral with our article but we did earn a lot of backlinks and some important traffic.
As for the video, I think this year will also try doing some niche based Halloween video, maybe find clever ways of getting it slightly viral directly on youtube.

I made a Halloween video last time out and it got lots of reviews that many started wondering if I did anything special on that videos. The truth is that keeping it simple and creative really helped to market it then.
