It's a matter of respect, however it seems that it getting harder and harder for someone to appreciate your work and not taking it away. On some level, it's understandable because when you have thousands of websites on the same subject you remain without topics

Personally, when I'm testing some particular niche and I don't want to invest too much time and energy, I go for the PLR Articles and rewrite and spin them until they get to my satisfaction. I know is a compromise on quality but considering the limited time I invest in it, it's ok. Well i don't think there is much more to be added. I think you touched all the important aspects of copyrighting. I know that there were some tools which i was using to detect if someone stole my content (copyscape.com). I had this happened to me couple of times but i manage to agree with the owner and he removed the content.
