Wordpress Yoast SEO Update News

Rather important new in the SEO world. The most popular and from my point of view, the most important SEO plugin for Wordpress has updated to version 3.5.

Wordpress Yoast SEO Update News

The new Yoast updated consists of:

  • XML sitemap changes the "change frequency and priority" was removed
  • They've added @id to schema.org output for more information related to your organization appearing in the search results as rich snippets.
  • Some languages related updates
  • and a11y i18n updates and overall improvements

So overall nothing to big from Yoast, but I'm glad to see them fixing small bugs and constantly improving their plugin.

Hi Cristian, thanks for sharing these updates. I had heard that Yoast SEO plugin had an update but I didn't know the details.

What do you know about Yoast conflicting with other plugins? I had Yoast installed on my mommy blog a while ago but it caused lots of problems on my website conflicting with other plugins. I can't remember the exact details because my web developer was managing my website then.

I have since heard that lots of people have encountered problems with the Yoast plugin conflicting with other plugins. Do you know if perhaps these updates have resolved some of these issues?

I had to change to All in One SEO.

All in One is still good but its ancient. Yoast has a lot more new features, updates and overall is created for today's SEO.

I don't know much about conflicts, I never experience serious ones. I administrate about 30 wordpress blogs and had installed Yoast one all of them without any problems. I also think it depends on the theme you are using and even if conflicts appear find a programmer and try working around them because, it worth it in the end.

Also, give it a shot, re-install Yoast and maybe all the conflicts you periods had are gone...

Well I had it on my website that was my online store and there was quite a lot of customization that my sister and the web developers did, plus loads of plugins too.. and that is the website where problems came up. I am now just blogging and I have closed my online store. I still have that website but I have changed it to just be a mommy blog... now it is sitting with all these plugins and things which is making it so slow...

Perhaps I'll move back to Yoast when I have cleaned up that website?
