I remember most SEO articles 5 years ago repeated the same thing over and over when
discussing about SEO link building methods, social bookmarking was on the list! Every time!
Even today, some bloggers and "SEO gurus" still mention social bookmarking as a valid link building method. But does is still work?
Do people still use websites like StumbleUpon or Digg? I personally use Inbound from time to time and I know a lot of people in the SEO niche get traffic from inbound.org so yeah, can still be a traffic source I guess.
If you still use social bookmarking as a valid link building strategy, what are your top five bookmarking websites?

This is just an assumption though.
I use Digg by the way, it is part of my checklist for after publishing new content. I share my link there just after publishing new content. I don't know if this has a big effect but my content usually ranks well and that is on my list of things to do, so I certainly wouldn't cross that off my list. I'll be honest here, I don't know the answer. It appears to me that a lot of emphasis was placed on the important of social bookmarking in the past and I would think now that this method doesn't carry as much as weight as before.
