What are some good online certifications for freelancers?

Giving the fact that we had previous discussions about making people here on SEOclerks take some test to show their current level of knowledge of SEO, I was thinking of a better way.

Not to add the test like a feature here as Mike said, but rather to link everything to a more certified entity that handles such test for freelancers.

What are some good online certifications for freelancers?
What are some good free or paid certifications one can take to prove their skills in certain niches and maybe we can integrate those results into our SC profiles.

For example, I'm Adwords certified and a Google partner, I would like all of my potential clients to know that and it would be cool to add additional certifications, like for example my level of spoken and written English, how good of a copywriter am I and other similar things like that.

So, do you think such an idea is better then SC having its own tests?
What certifications do you propose SC staff should consider when implementing such a feature?

Yeah I agree with Mike that it would be cool to have it all here in one place and added to your profile. Yes it is way cool that you have those certifications Razzy but how exactly will you add that to your profile here? Will you just say that you are certified? This just adds to the same sort of thing with members saying that they are "SEO experts"... what is really there to back them up?

Having tests through this website showing a score would for me be just the best thing ever. It would be part of the website and add to it's value in a big way.

I think that there is a big issue here - the fact that anyone can decide to work online, and basically 'lie' about what he or she can do, ends up reducing the level of professionalism and credibility in the freelancing market. It would be great if there was some sort of authorized entity that has a set of tests that a freelancer can take. Then, there would be a concrete evidence that that freelancer sat for those tests and got certain results, which can be verified through this authority's site. I think such a thing or something similar could greatly increase the professionalism in the freelancing market.

I have a certification from HubPages. I have attended 6 months intensive course from Hubpages. The course covered online writing and publishing, monetization, Search Engine Optimization, Social Media Optimization etc.
I have yet to attend Udemy, however, I hear Udemy offer good online courses. I am thinking to attend a couple of courses on Udemy. I want to attend programing and web design courses on udemy. Udemy certification is also considered good.

I've not had any certification with any site that certifies some freelancers on how to go about their businesses. I am of the opinion that it is necessary to get some certificates from some sites that are reputable in order for those clients that we might want to work with in the future.

It is beneficial ton have certifications. For instance, I was able to land many writing contracts based on my hubpage certification.
I am now attending many courses on Udemy and Alison. Once I complete these courses, I will have more potential to woo the clients. For example, I do web designing which I learned through self-study. It is hard for the clients to trust me because I do not have anything to show except the websites I have built. However, once I complete related courses on Udemy and Alison, buyers will trust me more.

Being certified and getting a certification from SEO Clerks is a great idea. It would boost the members trust rating as well as review his SEO knowledge. I'm all for it.
