How to permanently prevent spam comments on my blog?

I have been getting a lot of spam comments lately on my blog. How can I permanently prevent them?

IF you are using wordpress, then i suggest you to use GASP plugin which prevent spam comments. if you have blogspot blog, then use capctha for comments

The permanent way to stop spam comments is by disabling the commenting option. When there is no comment box, where will the spammers leave comments.However, if comments are important to your blogs, you have to find other methods to deal with this. You can have captcha. Since commentators have to write captcha in order to comment, this will deter the spammers.

Using the captcha is what most people do. For my blogs that are on WordPress the spam zapper does a good job of catching most spam comments. For my Blogspot blog which has the Google Plus comments module, it also has a spam bot that usually catches the unwanted comments. You could also set all comments to be moderated and approved by you first before they get published. Your monitoring or moderating makes sure the “junk” doesn't get through. It's extra work to do, but it can't be helped if you're being spammed.

If someone could come up with a way to permanently stop spamming, they could sell their product and make a lot of money from it!

I am not really into technical with blogs because I just submit blogs before and had never been a part of the back office work, so to speak. However, my take on spammers is to block the IP address. That if possible in forums but I don’t know if you can do that with blogs. It is not good to remove the comment line because your blog will be bereft of comments and it will be missing a lot of free contents from the readers.
