Steemit - A hot topic around here right now - My view

So around here steemit is a pretty hot topic right now because you can make money from posting on their website. hitmeasap has a pretty in depth tutorial on what to do HERE.

I registered my account when I first caught wind because sometimes these websites restrict registration after they get a certain number of members who are building loads of content. I figured I would lock in my username and placement within their community before that happened, if it ever did.

So now, my experience so far.

I posted a couple hours ago and used some pretty simple techniques to increase the click throughs, upvotes and comments.

Tips I Figured Out:
Thumbnail Image: There is not option to load a thumbnail image that shows when you're browsing through all the topics. Instead, steemit uses the first image you add into your post as your thumbnail. You can just copy and paste the URL of where the image is and it will load onto your post. You can use HTML tags to center it if you'd like, I did
Introduction: I would suggest starting with an intro because you could make a couple bucks off of it. I got a little bit of info from a couple users on there letting me know what steemit is about and not to worry if I don't strike it rich. Just write about something you like and hopefully people will come in. Kind of like the field of dreams, if you build it they will come lol.
