How are some sellers able to sell at higher prices and still earn well?

I've seen where some sellers will sell services with high prices, but others have to price very low on the exact same service to sell any at all. How are these sellers selling at such a high price and making money while others are having to price so low for the same thing? What is the trick to this?

Hey Sanfora,
Reputation, Professionalism, Customer Care and Support is just a few things that can play a huge role in something like this. Another thing would be recurring customers. I know that I would never sell anything for $1 if I knew I could sell it for $3, and I personally think it's awesome that some sellers are increasing their prices. That will slowly but steadily also hinder the ongoing price-war.

Another thing with this, is that potential clients might actually think that the person with the cheaper services are delivering poor quality.

My favorite seller certainly doesn't have the best prices, but he does have the best quality service I have found so far so I have to agree with Andre.

Every time I have ordered from him I have had incredible results and I am happy to pay his prices. He obviously knows what he is doing, plus he is always happy to advise me and give me suggestions for my websites even when I am asking something when it is not related to a service I have purchased.

When I see very cheap prices I will be honest, I just think the quality is bad.

There are many factors why that happens. One of the most important factors is how your write your sales copy. Sales copy is very important to get sales for the price you are offering. You have to understand the exact requirement of the buyer before you could arrange the sales copy. Hence my advice is to concentrate on the sales copy. And there is always scope of improvements.

Yes this plays a big role.

If I see a service with bad grammar and the a really bad sales copy I don't even look at the price, I just leave.

It all has to do with the reputation a seller has managed to establish for himself. Such a seller will have the possibility to charge slightly higher prices because he has the peace of mind that he has several regular buyers who would be more than willing to pay a bit more as long as he is going to give them the high quality service he managed to offer them before. Good customer care and a quick response time also maters a lot to most buyers. I think that an exceptional service is what they look for, and price does not always matter to most.

Yes I agree with you 100%. My favorite sellers are not the cheapest and I would use them even if they raised their prices a little more.

Sometimes it is better to pay a couple of dollars more just to have the peace of mind that you are not getting low quality work or something that is not going to work that well. Besides I tend to think that very low prices seem to indicate low quality or a bit of unprofessionality. Sometimes they are so low it is as if they are begging you to order from them, and it makes me think that they are either beginners or really need the income desperately at the moment, so much so that they are maybe just there to earn something in the short run and that's it.

This is actually one of the biggest reason that I usually run away. And never looks back. I've been desperate too. I am, honestly speaking, a couple of months per year desperate but I would never allow myself to sell myself to low or beg for money. Even if I actually had too.

The reason for that is that if I were selling my services too low, at a super bargain price would hurt my business in the future as I find it much harder to increase the price rather than decrease them.

What I do instead is to focus on a discount for a limited time.

Hi sanfora thanks for your question. Yes I completely agree with you. Here has many seller selling same service but someone has high price and someone has low price but high price service seller getting many more order than low price set seller. If you justify by only set price by high or low, I think you can not realize why high price seller service selling very much. There has different between tow seller. I always insist to set fair price for any service. If you are efficient for any specific service and if you able to persuade to buyer by your meaningful description, I think you have more change to sell service even high price. Buyer may choose you, if you can show your expertise. Do not think low price always high preferable to clients. Expert seller do different thing to attracting client.
