What are your go-to Social Networks?

What are your go-to social networks?

If you feel like it, here are a few more optional related questions about each.

How often do you use each?
Which are your favorites, and why?
Which platforms do you use for personal, and which for business?
Are there some that are equally important to you for business and personal?
Do you keep your business life separated from your personal life on social networks, or do you blend them together?

There are so many sites out there right now. I'm curious to see what you all use on a daily, weekly, monthly, or I signed up for this because I had to, but I hate it (me: Google+) basis.

What are your go-to social networks?
-Mainly Facebook. However, I don't use my personal Facebook account at all. Perhaps once or twice per month. I'm totally sick of all people using Facebook as an open diary, which is why I don't use my personal account that much. I do use it for my business.

How often do you use each?
-At least twice per day. Usually in the morning and the afternoon. Sometimes during the night too.

Which are your favorites, and why?
-Facebook and twitter. I don't use twitter as much as I use Facebook. The reason I prefer Facebook is because of my fan pages. I have several Facebook pages and I use them to promote my products.

Do you keep your business life separated from your personal life on social networks, or do you blend them together?
-Separated. As most of my friends and family members doesn't understand what I do, or doesn't agree with my choice of work I do the things I can to keep them out of it.

Why would your family and friends not approve of the work you do? I think it is a great line of work, that is of course the work I know about here... maybe you have other secret lines of work that are dodgy?

Well, I can't say much more than that, my girlfriend, even though she's supportive and all that, she's "old school" and doesn't like the fact that I'm working online. She's more for that "normal life" where one should go to an office or whatever. The "normal" 9-5 job so to speak. And, my mother, she's supportive and always has been, but she's against the whole concept of internet more or less

Friends, well.. Most of them are working on their 9-5 jobs or are unemployed. I should probably get some new friends

Oh that is strange for sure. I know when I closed my online store and started with my affiliate marketing my parent were worried I was getting involved with a scam. It has taken quite a bit of explaining to do and they still don't quite get it.

I suppose some people struggle with the modern way of earning online. Personally I think it is incredible. How else would I be able to work from bed on a cold winters day like today? I think I have the best job ever. Most of my friends are jealous for me!

I agree with you. I've been working full time online for the last 4-5 years now, and I've been with my girlfriend for 5 years.. Even so, she still doesn't get it, even though she likes the money that's coming in every now and then. She still thinks that a 9-5 job is how you should work, as that's "how you've always done it". Which is a bit sad, as I can't really discuss things with her regarding my business.

The same goes for my mother and most of my friends. I think my mom is the only one who's actually trying to understand, even though she hates the internet.

LOL yes, my husband hates social networks and when I first started working online it caused big problems because well as a blogger I must be very much online and posting on social networks. He actually closed his social network accounts when I started working online, that is how much it bothered him.

Now he is ok with it now that there is money coming in and he can't be disturbed by what I do online because he doesn't see it.

My social media networks are Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, P interest, etc. My most favorite is Facebook. My second favorite is YouTube.

I mostly use Twitter, Facebook, Google+ and LinkedIn. I post my seocheckout/seoclerks affiliate links every day and every couple of hours to ensure that I am reaching a consistent audience. As for personal use of social media, I only use Facebook because my family and friends are on it. If they weren't using Facebook I would discontinue using it completely. I am not happy with Facebook because they block business links, affiliate links like seoclerks. There is no way to dispute with Facebook if they block your link. This practice by Facebook has damaged a lot of business, even ones who wish to advertise. If you try to communicate with Facebook expect only robotic communication.

How often do you use each? - I use Facebook purely for personal reasons so as to keep in touch with family. I am not that active other than to use Messenger.

Which are your favorites, and why? - I am not much of a social media user. Do not have much time for it to be honest. And it bothers me to see how some people end up getting addicted to it.

Do you keep your business life separated from your personal life on social networks, or do you blend them together? - I would never combine both worlds in one. I prefer to keep them seperate always.

I know that most people use a lot of social media platforms and I may probably sound like an odd person, but that is just the way I am. I prefer to dedicate my limited time to writing, and the rest of the time I have left I prefer to use it for my other hobbies away from my computer, and to spend quality time with my family.

Great discussion. I use the following networks:

Facebook
Twitter
LinkedIn
Google Plus
Pinterest
Youtube

I have a personal account with each one, plus on Facebook I have 3 pages, Twitter 3 website profiles, 1 LinkedIn Page, 1 Google Plus Page, 1 Business Pinterest.

I use Facebook for personal and the rest I use for business mostly. I manage perfectly well to keep personal and business separate. I make use of social media to grow my online presence. Even my personal Facebook profile I use very much for business too.

Yes I chat to some friends every now and then but I prefer to contact my close friends and family by phone or Skype video...

I use software to send out all my content to my social networks so it isn't like I am sitting on them all day. I check in once a day and do a quick check for notifications or anything important and that is it.

Awesome question, thank you for asking as this may open up some avenues for many people who may not know of certain social media websites!! I have open accounts on Facebook, twitter, instagram, and Google. I mostly use Facebook for personal and work related things. I use Facebook to market my clients and even to market myself. I also use twitter, instgram, and Google mainly for work related things. I use these also to market myself and my clients. As most of these sites are my main source of marketing, I am on each of these sites all the time!

Well I don't often use Social Media as I once did. Facebook and Twitter seem to be my "go to" websites for marketing though. I have a little following on Twitter, and my facebook account I barely even post anything on. I just primarily use the Facebook Messenger app through the Facebook account and that's about it.

I should try and advertise, or market on social networks but I'm just too lazy, and never really had results that way. So I rather just go through the search engines, and pay for advertising.

My favorites are Twitter and Tumblr, I don't like Facebook very much. I use both about two or three times a day. They're my favorite for different reasons. Twitter helps me stay connected and knowing what's going on. Tumblr is purely for entertainment and art. I certainly prefer to keep business and personal life apart.

I think you need to discover what your business is all about and then decide which of the social media networks that can help in pushing your business to a higher level. I use Facebook, WhatsApp and twitter in marketing my services online and I ensure that I log on every day to check the response of users on these social media networks.

Facebook is the only social media that I use. I have no Twitter account nor Instagram. For me, Facebook is more than enough because my main use for social media is to connect to my network of people particularly to my relatives and friends who are residing abroad and in far away places. And I have only 1 Facebook account that covers all my social media activities whether for personal or for business.

For business I only use 1 social media site - Facebook. It's the number one site in terms of active users and it's highly popular in my country that's why i prefer using it.

My favorite social media platforms for business are Facebook because it's the biggest in terms of active user base in my country and YouTube which is the second largest. These 2 platforms alone constitute to 76 percent of my sales.
