Do You Provide Your Clients With Something Extra?

Hello freelancers,
Whenever I do business online, on SEOClerks or not, I usually, (8 or 9 times out of 10) provide my clients with something extra. When I sold social media services for instance, I usually sold 1,000 likes of something, but I always added an extra 250 likes or so.

The same goes for literally anything I do. I provide more than the buyer expects.

My reasoning behind this is this:
My clients will be more than satisfied when I over deliver and that will automatically increase my chances of getting positive feedbacks, recommendations but not only that. It will also increase my chances to make that particular client a recurring customer.

So, what about you?
Do you provide your clients with extras?
And in case you don't. Why don't you?

Best Regards,
hitmeasap

I do the same for my clients & what happened in the end, If they are not planning to leave any feedback, they say thank you after getting some extra work and this increases my chance to get repeat orders from them.
So please try to give some extra to satisfy your clients.

Yes I agree with you that when you do this you exceed their expectations and make them really happy. As a result they are more likely to leave positive feedback, or write a recommendation for you. Besides they will be more inclined to order again in the future. Therefore you are effectively increasing your sales and making sure you retain a client. I write articles and web content, and generally I exceed the word count that we agreed upon when the order was placed. Sometimes I deliver before the deadline or the date client asked for, and that really makes clients happy.

Hi hitmeasap thanks for your nice question. It is very importance to convince your client any ways. And give some incentive to your clients, it is very good idea for business grow. Because, if buyer get something extra more than expectation, buyer should be happy and may choose you first for further any purchase. When I was start working on SEOclerks, I was providing social media services e.g. Facebook like, followers, twitter like followers etc and I always tried to deliver over likes or followers and I got huge return client in that time. And still I am providing something extra for my any service to my clients and as a result every day I am getting more happy and returning buyer.

Providing extra job is smart way of doing freelance job. Usually i do some extra work when it's possible and beside that for my returning buyers i also offer discount coupons from time to time so we can both benefit, i would sell some more and they can save some more from services i provide. It's not always just to be kind, but also smart marketing idea to keep your customers happy, build your trust, but also your happy customers could bring more customers, because, as some said, best advertisement is positive word of mouth, when people recommend you to their friends, family or social media friends

Hi! This is a great question! We offer a lot of different Soundcloud, Youtube, and many other social media/ music services. We always provide our clients with at least a 10% bonus or extra on each of their orders, in hopes they will return and buy more services. Doing this also increases the chance of getting more positive feedbacks, recommendations, and possible referrals, etc. You do have to be very cautious though, in not to over do it and way over deliver because some buyers are really firm on what they want and how they want it. It all comes down to respect and loyalty.

I too offer the same but mention it in the gig so that client can grab the benefit by paying just a minimum additional cost.

Hey webseo123kh,
So you basically offer all your clients to buy extras from you? For a discount?

Have you ever thought of giving your clients something extra free of charge, just to build reputation and to increase your chances of getting recurring customers? - Recurring customers are of utmost importance to become successful and by delivering more than your clients expects you increase your chances of getting repeat customers.

Satisfied customers will come back. It's that easy.

Whenever a seller provides something extra for me, I always feel very happy and I feel that I have got a better deal. However, I don’t normally offer my customers something extra because I feel like that they don’t return even when I offer them an extra. The only exception is when something goes wrong on my side. In that case, I will re-deliver the work and give them an extra to keep them happy and discourage them to leave a negative review. Maybe, I should offer them something extra but sometimes I feel that the extra work on my side causes no extra benefit.

I have not had the chance to present extra products or services for those clients. This is one act that many marketers are really into making their money both online and the offline space. I would be using this trick just asking of giving some goodies to my clients to make extra money on my business.

In some platforms I'm using the answer is yes, and in some it's a case to case basis. It really depends on the service I'm providing and the amount of the contract. If it's a good contract then I'll probably throw in an extra. But if it's a promo service which has an all in price well it has a lower profit margin so I won't be giving extras.
