I recently read an article about an exclamation point ( ! ) and the insane results it could bring..
Let me tell you about this:
If you have a exclamation point after a headline ( ! ) in your sales page, we all know it will stand out a bit and make the sentence a bit "stronger". But, if you make that exclamation point into a graphic instead. So it's a .jpeg/.png image, some claims this to increase the sales with 200%.
Make the exclamation point graphic a html link, to where if people click the exclamation point graphic, it will send them off to get a huge discount.
Send this "secret" to your email list.
I have seen some a few marketers doing things like this, and it seems like it's working, but I don't have any experience doing this myself.. What's your thoughts on this?
Best Regards,
hitmeasap

I use numbers and symbols in my campaigns and it's shown a higher CTR than if I just use text.
Symbols:
The main symbols I'll use are !, $, -, | or ?
Using these strategically will draw attention to your listing because it will slightly stand out than the other listings around it. The reason it increases your click through rate is because it will break up the text and pull the attention to your listing so that your viewers can read it. Adding the exclamation point will make it seem like you're yelling at the user, so you'll need to use it strategically and make it seem like there's urgency with your product or service. The dollar sign will bring people in because everyone likes money and they'll be intrigued by what the price is. use the hyphen if you're breaking up a domain from the text like "example.com - this is awesome" and the same goes for the strait line |
Numbers:
By adding a number to your text, listing, titles, etc. you will notice a bigger click through rate and high conversions. It helps because people will see the numbers and get pulled in because it stands out from the text. Whether it be a phone number or the price of the product, it will stand out and people will be drawn to it. When adding a price, be sure to add the dollar $ign $ymbol so people automatically know it's a price. The only downside of adding a dollar sign to a PPC campaign is that not everyone uses the same currency as you, so use it only when targeting your country of origin I've used techniques on my PPC campaigns in order to increase my CTR :D I use numbers and symbols in my campaigns and it's shown a higher CTR than if I just use text.
