I don't suffer from sadness but fatigue and exhaustion are a constant problem, especially if I work too many days without a break.

Lack of sleep can weaken your immune system and leave you open to flu and cold. Best to get rest which is the natural restorative for your body.

Winter sadness is very common and can lead to issues for more than the person suffering as many times family members feel abandoned or alienated due to the other person's suffering, especially if they shut themselves away.

I've been sick with a flu like illness since mid November. It was very difficult to deal with as it caused me to feel extreme fatigue. And, meanwhile the weather dipped below freezing, yet I still had to go out into the cold to deal with daily matters. Winter time is not currently my favorite season due to the extreme weather. :/

Yes sometimes I think that when winter is long I do get this. I long to be outside and just happy with the sun shining but when the winter is long and dark and cold, I often feel that way.

The human body can play really cruel tricks on us with those chemicals and hormones, especially during bad weather. And it feels as if the cold is creeping into my bones. I feel very gloomy. Simply warming up my room helps. However, some feelings of sadness are not so easily dismissed during bad weather. From what I've read there is a light therapy available that might help chromic S.A.D sufferers feel relief as it simulates the natural sunlight received during summer.

Wow usually for me it is the other way around. I love summer and hate winter.

Our AC went out this past summer toward the end and it didn't seem worthwhile to have fixed. After all, we only had a few weeks left of summer at that time. After a week of that, I was really wishing for winter. Now, not so much as this winter has been bitter cold. Thankfully, it's warming up this past few days.

I have gotten sad before for no apparent reason. One day I just started crying because I felt sad. In cases like this it is best to talk to someone.

Nature gives us the seasons. Thus we should love them. It comes according to the time.

Yes, sometimes I do get sad. Life is full of up and downs. However, there should be more good days than bad ones. If there are more bad days, then you should seek medical help. It also helps if you have someone to confide in, a family member or trusted friend. Communication is vital and usually the first step to getting out of a rut.

We live in a tropical country. In lieu of winter, what we have is the rainy season. We used to live in a house where floods visit our living room about 3 times a year due to the heavy rains. Maybe those incidents had influenced me that until now that our home is flood-free, I still feel fear whenever the rain would pour. But with the sadness, I sometimes feel melancholic when I would sleep late and be wakened early in the morning by the pouring rain. The atmosphere is gloomy and I am physically not feeling well, those are the ingredients that make me sad for no reason at all. Rising up and trying to feel good can wipe out that artificial loneliness.

In terms of actual sadness (not the abbreviation S.A.D) I think that any human being on the planet gets sad now and again. I know that even some of the happiest most positive people I've ever known get sad every now and again. This is simply the way our brains work. You can be the cheeriest person ever, but sometimes there will be moments where you feel down for what seems like no reason. In terms of S.A.D, I'm not so much affected by the season itself but rather the lack of Vitamin D. I actually love the Winter time as I really prefer cold weather to hot, and I love snow and overcast weather. The lack of Vitamin D from minimal sunshine is a problem though, so I have to take supplements to balance it out.

I get sad and moody some days.I think sadness is an emotion that comes with life itself. If you could be happy, then sadness should also be expected some day. Being sad is not the problem but overcoming it.I don't dwell on my sadness but I look out for ways to overcome it and be happy again.

As a human being, I can feel sad when things I planned for ain't going the way I thought it should and I try to show how sad I am in those situations. I sometimes feel sad when I could not get through with plans of life. However, I must say that I have come to appoint in life that I am positive about everything I do in life.

We all can feel sad sometimes, human nature you know. But I guess the trick is to hold on, and don't let the sadness overcome us. Not that I'm like a complete master on this, in fact, my country has been through a lot since some years ago, and all this situation got me stressed and sad, some people get too depressed they even commit suicide. So, that's what we need to avoid, to get so depressed, that we even can't stand the situation and let something fatal happens. Whenever I'm in those kind of moments, I look for something to do that keeps me active, like cleaning the house, calling old friends by phone or online, doing exercise, maybe taking any crafting, keep yourself busy, that way the mind will be very occupied to think about being sad.

Sadness is part of life just like joy, happiness, anger etc. It's how you know you are alive. And it's absolutely normal when facing this level of change. It will become more manageable every day.
