Napping

I woke up very early this morning, barely daylight then. And, not even noon now and feeling like I could really take a nap. I am lucky to have the day off of work and all caught up on my blog posting. Just hanging out surfing online. So there is nothing to stop me from sleeping. I would like your advice on whether to stay up or take a nap. If I take a nap, then maybe I would set my daytime schedule off. I don't want to stay up past midnight.

Please advise.

It's best to maintain your normal sleeping pattern or schedule or else you will start waking up later and later in the morning until your entire schedule is off. You could take a short twenty minute nap in a very dark room. Just be sure to set your clock to wake you up before you hit heavy sleep. That usually happens around thirty minutes into your sleep cycle.

do you weak up always at that time? for me i weak up too late at evning and stay weaking till first hours of the morning

i dont like that style it cause me a problems but i dont know how to change it

You need to reset your schedule. You can do this by staying up an hour or so later every day. For instance if you usually wake up at five pm and go to sleep at 3 am, then you would set your alarm for one hour earlier every day and try to go to sleep one hour earlier daily too. Do that until you are waking up in the morning time.

I love to take naps but when I do then I will not be able to sleep at night. So I choose not to take them.

I love naps. But often when I lay down to nap, I do sleep longer then intended and that ruins the rest of my day.

It is really odd for me. If I nap on a Saturday, I have no issues falling asleep that night. But if I have to get up early the next day and nap, then I am up all night long.

More than 85% of mammalian species are polyphasic sleepers, meaning that they sleep for short periods throughout the day...
Humans are part of the minority of monophasic sleepers, meaning that our days are divided into two distinct periods, one for sleep and one for wakefulness....
It is not clear that this is the natural sleep pattern of humans... Young children and elderly persons nap, for example, and napping is a very important aspect of many cultures....

I normally don't take naps. But sometimes after lunch if I lay on a sofa or something I may fall asleep for 5 to 10 minutes. So if I have something to do I try not to lay down anywhere Napping

If you are feeling tired and there you are in a place where you can take a nap for couple of hours, then you should, It shouldnt stop you from sleeping at night. Although from experience, if I take a nap anytime after 4 pm, then I will not sleep till after midnight. So maybe try take a nap between noon and 4pm No later than this.

I never met someone who would need such an advice. Well, I would say to take a nap. Your health is much important than staying on the Internet. You may finish your schedule later or tomorrow! Resting is much important in my opinion!

Naps are highly recommended nowadays. They are supposed to bring some rest for the brain, and to improve your mood during the day. The only issue you have to care about is Time! We are not supposed to take naps longer than 20-30 min a day, more than that will make you feel heavy and slow, your brain will think you are ready for a night sleep. Less than that will never be enough to make you feel rested. Hope you can enjoy more naps, they will make you feel better for sure.

I don't joke with sleeping whether in the day or at night as long as there is a space to do that. I would have to suggest that you nap anytime you feel that way and not shift it to another to avoid issues coming up with your sleeping pattern and health system. It is your decision to make, but I believe it will be wise you take the nap.

When you say nap it means 15 minutes to me. I don’t think it will ruin your sleeping period. However, when the nap is longer than that you might lose sleep at night. What I do when I feel drowsy at daytime is to engage in some physical activities that would wake me up like walking for a short distance or taking time to check on some colleagues who may need assistance. It is better to stay awake than to take a nap when you have work to do.
