I fear I may have to have my wisdom teeth out. I am not looking forward to it at all but I have been getting sick and I am linking it to that. Hopefully they can hold out a bit longer til summer for me to get it done.

Its actually possible to grow a second set of adult teeth or to have old tooth fragment push through the gums. Don't know which happened to me but after my gums healed 6 months passed and another tooth pushed through my gums...very weird lol.

Have no fear Bev!
I was like you, and terrified of having to have it done. Especially when they told me that one of my top right molars had blocked the top right wisdom tooth from coming in, and as a result they were both grinding together as the wisdom tooth tried to come in, not to mention my bottom wisdom teeth which there was no room in my gum line for and was literally pushing my front bottom teeth together - i was in so much frickin pain every day i could not even think straight - i let it go as long as i could and finally went in and figured id do 2 at a time - well the doc didnt want to do that and said he wanted to do all 4.
I was so scared bev, but after it was all said and done i didnt know what i had been so scared for. Make sure you get put to sleep. I chose the IV , not the gas, the IV works better and has an almost 0% rate of patients waking up. I remember literally asking them if they ever had anyone not go under no matter how much they gave them, to waking up 2-3 hours later, out of a deep dream, and the doc saying "were all done, i went ahead and pulled that molar to so it wouldnt be a problem down the road" lol so i had 5 teeth taken out at once.
You are numb the rest of the day, and the doc will give ya good strong pain killers so the rest of the time just veg out on the couch & try to sleep - Dont smoke cigs or anything else in fear of dry socket (ya dont want that) and you will be just fine i promise, its not 1/100th as bad of a recovery as i thought, the pain killers really help that process along though!
Im here for ya if ya need support or have questions

I got them out and am doing fine. I feared for nothing. It really was not too bad. Only got 2 out on my left side but it was a breeze.

Sometimes, dental surgery is unavoidable. It's very good we have all these great dental care options now. I can only imagine the nightmare of dealing with wisdom tooth pain back in the stone ages or earlier when there was no such thing as dentists.

Yes I know. The pain was too much to bear that I could not even sleep. Tooth pain is the worst kind of pain in my book.
