Should I get UK hosting?

Just recently I found a good deal on hosting located in the UK, but that is not near my country. Do you think hosting from another country would be a good idea? What is the reliability of off shore hosting services?

Though your website is hosted on their servers in the UK, your site would be accessible to many people all over the globe, not just the UK or your home country. So most likely location of the server would not affect up time.

I don't think it matters really, as long as the hosting company you choose has good reputation and prices, then I would say give it a go. Should I get UK hosting?

If your hosting company has a .com domain, it's unlikely you will know where they are located anyway, unless they just happen to tell you. It's likely your current or last host was not located in your country but you just didn't know.

Read reviews from others before buying the hosting as that will tel you more about the company's reliability than anything else. If current customers are satisfied, then you will most likely enjoy the service too.

If your customers are in UK. If they pay you in that currency. And if your primary target for business or blog is from UK. Then it makes sense to use the UK host. Because that way you can even have SEO advantage. You'd be able to rank for the local traffic. I use the local traffic and have the local hosting company hosting my content. For me that's working just fine for now.
