Do you think it's a good idea to share personal, family videos on Youtube? Are you worried that strangers might be peeking in on your personal life?

it is not really good because some fraudsters could use it to black mail you.

Hopefully you would not post private videos, just funny videos of family and friends. Sort of like you might see on Vine.

Not just the personal videos on youtube, sharing too many personal things on facebook and internet to be precise is not a good idea. If you feel a need to share personal videos, I think facebook is a better platform than youtube. On facebook if you set your privacy as friends, only your friends will be able to watch the video, however, on youtube strangers will be watching your personal stuff.

Almost all the videos on our YouTube channel are personal. Those videos are our expression that were uploaded for the benefit of our relatives and friends. We really don't care if there are lurkers or stalkers. We treat those videos as social media that is subject to unexpected acts of strangers. We are not paranoid of viewers with bad intention.
