Why do people get banned from Youtube?

people get banned when they do not follow and obey the terms of use and conditions of the site like uploading of porn videos which is illegal to yourtube.

Apparently, what one person gets banned for on Youtube is not always what another gets banned for. I uploaded some videos that got deleted while similar videos were allowed to stay up. I would bet that I get banned from Youtube for it, while the other channel owners are allowed to stay.

You are not directly banned from YouTube. When you upload any copyright video or any video which is already listed on YouTube,Then the original copyright owner has option either to give warning to you or to get your channel banned.
Mostly you get warning,if do repeatedly upload such video then you will banned.

Pardon me for this clarification. When you upload a video that is copyrighted I think it will be given a flag of warning by Youtube. That warning will let you know that you are uploading something that you shouldn’t. But I guess your channel can suffer a suspension or even a ban if you had been given an advice to delete the copyrighted video and you didn’t respond. Anyway, to be safe with Youtube you should not use the video of other people. Use your camera to take video clips and upload it.

You might get in a lot of trouble for spamming your links on other people's Youtube videos. That type of spamming is usually reported quickly and likely to result in your ban. After all, no one wants to look at a spam link. Though maybe you would not be banned if you simply listed a link in your comment to your own related video/channel as that would not be a link to an off site page.

one needs to be very careful. it is good to always read the ToS and guidelines on uploading videos so as to avoid such ban. many people dont get to read them at all before doing any youtube business. one must be very careful.

Copyright issues are a big deal with Youtube now and they will actively pursue anything related to taking another person's work for your own. Even sampling clips is sometimes not allowed. Though I have seen mash up videos that include copyright clips along with original work that are still allowed to stay up. So maybe that is considered an original and unique work of art separate from the original copyright holder.

hmmm. nice statement from beverly. besides that youtube has become liberal a little allowing differnt kinds of videos to be uploaded but they are still very watchful to block out those illegal ones.

I did a search for a new movie on Youtube recently and was surprised to find the full length version for free there on Youtube. At one time, you would not find any such thing as they would have taken it down almost instantly or blocked it from being uploaded.

So I think it's possible Youtube is relaxing it's standards, for better or worse.

While I'm not as interested in new movies, I'd love to find classic Disney cartoon movies such as Sleeping Beauty. At one time, you could find all those classic children movies on Youtube. I have not seen any of those recently.

Trolling on comments can lead to ban if someone reports you. Just keep your calm on Youtube, even if someone tries to lure you into an argument as you don't want to get banned.

That is one reason also. There are so many trolls in the internet nowadays,if you one of them and of course commenting hash in their site they find ways to prove that you are trolls and they will ban you for that.

Trouble-making is cause for ban on Youtube or any other social networking site. If you have a disagreement with someone, you should take it to private message, rather than airing your grievance in public where others can hear you. Chances are, the person you are arguing with in public on Youtube won't report you, but others will.

I think one thing that the youtube ban people is uploading a video against their rules and regulations. Every company,businesses or even site has this standard operating procedures and rules and regulations. If you did something wrong against these then they will give you a punishment which the worst case scenario is ban you from their site forever.
