Commenting on Youtube videos

Commenting on Youtube videos that don't pertain to my niche seems like a waste of time to me, so I don't ever do it. Since I want to draw attention to my own Youtube channel from those interested in my niche, then I only comment on videos which are similar to mine. In this way, if someone sees the comments and likes what I have to say, they can click through and watch similar videos.

So long as you keep the comments very targeted to the niche and talk about what was featured on the video, this could be an ideal way to promote and draw others to your own channel. You might want to be subtle when asking others to visit your channel in your comments as the channel owner could always delete overly promotional comments.

I only write comments on videos that I find interesting and which are connected to my niche. I really don't comment with my links on videos unrelated to my site.

It's OK to be controversial on your comments and disagree with others as long as you are not trolling or harassing to anyone as that will get our comments reported.

You can get comments if your video is interesting to themregardless of the niche. Our Youtube channel is for personal use since all the videos there, except for a few, are occasions, events and personal clips at home. But sometimes we get the chance to make a unique video like in one wedding that we had attended, my husband had captured the rude photographers. There was even one photographer crossing the path of the bride in the aisle. That video is still getting comments from time to time. Another is the video on the radio drama that showed how the radio drama is done with the voice talents on the microphone. It is also getting comments continually.

Commenting on YouTube videos is a good way of drawing attention to your own channel. Be it constructive comments or otherwise as long as your comment is valid and relevant you can attach your link to it.

Commenting in YouTube channels are fine but you must also be aware if the channel's owner would be offended by your post. Sometimes posting unrelated links can be considered as spam.

My take on this is your free to comment on videos whether it's related to your niche or not. Now depending on your purpose, you may choose to comment on related videos or channels only. I for one would not think about it, I just comment naturally on videos i like to comment.
