Facebook suggest posts

Lately, Facebook has been suggesting a lot of posts. Sometimes, I like the post they suggest as it relates to a similar page I have viewed before. Other times, their suggestions make no sense. Now I'm wondering if these suggested posts are just ads paid for by various page owners (that happen to be in a similar niche to something I might like).

Obviously, those are sponsored posts, whether it says so or not on your feed. I'm assuming the suggested posts are from really big name stores, that can afford to pay. Not just small time Facebook page owners

I agree that some of them have to be paid. I usually just wind up ignoring most of them as they do not interest me much.

Wonder how much it costs to get a sponsored post on Facebook.

I guess it is base on topic and auction. Similar to posting an ad on facebook ;)

I have been seeing those sponsored posts suggested by Facebook. But in fairness, there is a line that says “sponsored” so I have no issue with that. However, my issue is the line at the top that says some of my friends liked the post. One example is the post about a local cheese that my friends are saying my name appears on top saying I liked the post. But I never liked any sponsored post or any post of someone who is not my friend. My take on that sponsored post is plain advertising.
