Bing has much better image search. That is about all I can think of.

I don’t really know what image search is. Is it a search of pure images or a search of a keyword that includes images in the results? I don’t really find Bing to be astride with Google in terms of the search results because Bing has only a few relevant links in the search list compared to the search list of Google which I always find good in terms of the information that I need.

I think I have only used it once before to try out some of its features, like searching by size or finding similar images. But after Google implemented a similar feature, I haven't tried it out since then.

Bing doesn't just have more/better features, it actually offers better image results than Google Images. Search results are still inferior and bing was caught copying Google Search results at one time.

Bing isn't bad though and I think it is growing. I still prefer Google.

I think bing is only used by the less computer savvy. Those that can't change the default search engine in IE and can't tell that it is not google. I am not targeting these people so bing brings me little traffic.

So the current versions of IE have BING as the homepage or default search engine? I haven't used IE for years, ever since I started using Firefox and Chrome. The last thing I remembered when I used IE was the default homepage was a blank page, and the default search engine is Google.

I don't find many good reasons to use Bing for search as the results are always annoying. And, though i liked their video results before, now i'm finding Google's results to be more targeted and relevant to me.

I tried BING for the lulz before. It's not that bad on the keyword I used. Haven't tried it again since then.

I use Google search, just out of habit. Though they give way too many results for what I'm searching, at least I find what I'm looking for. With Bing, I rarely find any relevant results.

Bing's results win in terms of the smoothness of its social integrations. The company's contracts with both Facebook and Twitter give it access to more social data than Google, which must rely on the lesser-used Google+ network. The way it integrates social recommendations into its SERPs is also much less cluttered than Google's results.

I agree that I have never had much luck with Bing. I rarely use it. Google is the one for me.

Upto my knowledge it is a rumor. Microsoft has hell lot of money, data centers and they are using it to improve bing.

Oh I see. But yeah, proving it will definitely hard. How the hell can bing copy Google's algorithm...

But that could be tedious... as there are a lot of search queries.

Not really. Whenever user comes to your site and put a search query, you have to just put same thing on google api, and it gives back you the results. Just put in some predefined format.

Oh I see. Kinda like a script that uses Google Search to search internal pages on your site...

To addon, make sure when you show results from google never use it for commercial purpose. Google can sue you, if you use it for commercial purpose.

Yup Advantage of using Bing over Google?. In true sense it is function calls whcih google makes. It can't be script, as script can't handle so many things at once (in most cases)

How many of us stop and consider the search engine we use? We don’t really, do we? For myself and for millions of others, “Googling” something is second nature. Whether it is something we are in need of, whether we just fancy a quick browse or whether we are in the middle of a heated debate and need to settle a quick dispute, we Google it.

It is clear that bing is inferior to Google overall. However it is growing.

As we know most of the search engines are sourced by google or funded by them, It is very difficult to defeat them.

I am not a big fan of Google and I also try Bing once in a while together with Yahoo. In other words, I use all 3 search engines just to get a feel of what’s really the best for me. And the best for me regarding the relevance of the contents in the search list is always google. Whenever I would do a search, Google can give me 5 or more links that are interesting while the other 2 major search engines usually give me only 2 or 3 good links in the search list.
