What's the oddest place you ever got inspiration from?

The oddest place I ever got inspiration from for a blog post was the back of a cereal box. They were talking about vitamins and minerals in breakfast cereal and I thought it would be interesting to write an article comparing the top cold breakfast cereal for nutrition. I had lots of fun researching that article as cereal is one of my favorite topics (and foods) anyway.

You would be surprised how much useful information is contained on product packaging now. Manufacturers understand the need to add value to the product and the packaging products the perfect place for that. As for what you asked, I will usually get inspired when reading a related blog or forum and have ideas for my own site based on that. Not copies. But something similar with my own research.

Church. I seem to have vivid imagination when I'm in church listening to a sermon. It is the weirdest thing. And it only happens in church. I know clearly what Im supposed to do.

Is the beach an odd place to be inspired to write? In one of our summer vacation trips to the beach, I chanced upon a stray dog by the seashore. It was wading in the water as if it was trying to catch fish. I was a co-blogger for a pet blog at the time and it occurred to me that stray dogs are unfit to be in beach resorts. What if they bite the guests? I wrote an article about the danger of rabies that is usually found in stray dogs. But I had to consult our vet regarding the facts for I don’t want to write false information about rabies.
