On most forums where I have been a regular long time member, the most controversial topics were ones surrounding politics, religion or anything to do with gun ownership or death penalty.
On your favorite forum (even if that is your own), what topics are always heated and draw the most impassioned responses?

Most definitely politics, war and religion, as the three are combined for so many reasons. You can't seem to talk about one and not the others. Culture and politics go hand in hand, and is different in every country. Some countries more so than others, and because of the various views of what's right and wrong (culturally, morally, spiritually, politically; even individually, etc) it tends to lead into the discussions of war. Civil Rights issues, Human Rights issues, etc are all brought forward in these types of debates because it's all part the movement to make things "better".
I'm not a conspiracy theorist, however I honestly believe they do exist and happen more than what people realize. I don't trust the government at all. Nothing surprises me...lol
Parenting is a huge hot topic as well. Especially when discussing discipline. This tends to lead into arguing about the younger generation (Generation "Y" = The Entitled Generation), and "Nature vs Nurture".
I LOVE reading and learning others opinions in these kinds of debates. It opens my eyes a little more each time I read. I am a very philosophical person, so I observe and ponder the possibilities Anything government, will sure stir up the pot...lol Most definitely politics, war and religion, as the three are combined for so many reasons.
