I don't like temperamental people as they mess up the forum's good vibe and make me want to leave. I don't know how others feel about it though.

I hate it when a member on a forum starts a feud or drama with another member. They must be really bored and have nothing better to do. Those people get the boot off forum fast.

Drama is bad for forum business and can make people want to leave. And, you will spend all your time cleaning up the mess of a few forum trolls who started it all and in the end, those people will leave and you will have nothing worthwhile of your forum. So get in there quick when drama starts and cut it out.

I agree with wanting to leave because for me, forum is to be enjoyed aside from the learning and sharing. So if there is drama much more like a heated argument, I would definitely exit. Yesterday I attended a meeting of an alumni organization. It was good going at first until 2 officers started arguing. When the argument was heated and it seemed to be like a protracted quarrel, I left without notice. I really hate disagreements, spats, quarrels much more in the internet because we are just having a discussion and not an argument.

You should not allow that kind of behavior from anyone, even long time veteran forum members.

Greetings!

I do enjoy taking part in controversial discussions, especially when the debate gets heated! Sometimes though, people go way over the limit, crossing personal boundaries and just talking nonsense. I have no patience for behavior like that. Either take part in a heated, yet respectful conversation, or don't bother wasting your time and the readers with the drama.

And, some people make it personal by name calling and pointing fingers of blame. That makes it no fun for everyone. I don't mind if people share their own opinions on topics, so long as they don't start trolling each other over differences.

Some forum members are just prone to acting up in public. And, for whatever reason they do it, whether to draw attention to themselves or make a point, it's up to the staff to keep things under control. If your forum is about debate, then it's especially important not to let things get to the flaming level where everyone is being targeted by these dramas.
