Dealing with staff arguments and fights

Does your staff (admins/mods) ever argue on forum or behind the scenes? What are some of the reasons for staff disagreements or strife? How do you deal with those situations? For instance, do you always favor your admin?

I don't tolerate arguments on my forum among staff members. It's very disruptive to the peace and quiet of the forum. I'd rather keep the focus on the forum members rather than staff drama.

If your staff is arguing a lot in front of forum members, that can be destructive to your community atmosphere. It's a good idea to deal with staff arguments professionally and not take sides as that can lead to hurt feelings.

I had an experience with one local forum where a faction was created when moderators joined the argument in one thread. It was a nasty flame war that members were quiet, not posting although they are reading and monitoring the thread with a controversy. The admin closed the forum until the issue was resolved. When the forum went back online, the controversial thread was nowhere to be found. And the quarreling moderators? They were removed from the staff list.
