what is the best seo process for new sites?

I see a lot of cool gigs that look like they would help me get the PR and traffic I need. Is there a type of gig to focus on? What not to look at? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The best advice for you is a lot of what I see these gentlemen have given already, the few that you are missing is to focus on Bing and Yahoo as well as Google but Bing and Yahoo are so much easier to rank high in and are the best for start up traffic as well as once ranked google will see this and give you even higher of a rank on their results.

Dont use link pyramids they can work of course but for what your paying here they are not going to because no one cares about your rank like you do and so I recommend not buying and building a some what link payramid your self using Squidoo, G plus and Facebook for a niche not so related to yours.

As far as buying back links I again advice against it the only one person I trust here on this site is ITKING because he is providing them the right way, Manual SEO is the only thing that works with good results, software of any type will destroy and I mean destroy your chances of ranking for that website for the next 6 months and if you have used software just leave the site alone because any work done wont help it for atleast 90 days to a year!

Here is one of his best gigs, I have not used this one but I do not use SEO clerks for my own personal reasons, just the FAQ and for SEO gigs, I do use his gigs every week on clients websites.

I may agree that your site can get a higher ranking in Yahoo and Bing maybe because the competition is not that hectic. But take note that the biggest search engine is Google which means you can get more traffic from Google than any other search engine in town. But for the SEO work on your site it will be applicable to all the search engines so you cannot focus on any one search engine. You just have to do the SEO work.

You can focus on blog commenting, article directories, social network promotion and so on. I don't like the forum links as they don't carry that much juice anymore.

Do not use those gigs that give you thousands of backlinks because google don't like it. EG. 5000 blog comments for $10 - these should be avoided.

Social bookmarking are quite useful but don't buy a high amount. If you buy 1000, try to split it between a few sites. Or buy 100-300 at a time and wait for like a week or two before buying more.

as far as i know, link farms or wheels are not much appreciated things. I might be wrong but I have written a few articles on the topic. link wheels are made so that they are undetectable so isn't it enough a proof that they are a black hat SEO technique?

My idea for a new site is to fill it up with contents and at the same time, invite visitors. One of the easiest way to invite visitors is thru the social media. You can post a promotional item for your website so it can be exposed to your social media friends and followers. And with the SEO, the contents you have been uploading will suffice as long as the new content is original, unique and has substance. Also, it should be directly relevant to your niche.
