We celebrate Fathers day on November 13 here in Sweden, so it will be celebrated in 147 days from now.
As I'm not a father myself, and also lost my own father in late 2012, I won't be celebrating it. However, I do have some amazing memories from my childhood and during all the years until 2012. One of my best "memories" is when my father bought a house, and I wasn't even born yet. (which is why I can't say it's my own memory, it's more of a memory because I've heard so much about it during my whole life).
That being said, one holiday, a Saturday, 1985 (I was born 3 months later), my mom and dad went out by car and did some grocery shopping and whatever. On their way home, my father "randomly" stopped in a residential area, and parked in front of a house. He told my mother that he would like to see the garden because of all the nice flowers so he went outside of the car and started to walk towards the house, into the garden, and he walked around the house so my mother couldn't see him, as she was still in the car, a bit stressed out .
Suddenly, the front door opens, and my father was the one who opened the door, from inside the house.. My mother panicked, rushed over and yelled a ton of crazy things. "YOU CAN'T JUST WALK INTO SOMEONE'S HOUSE!!" etc..
My father just stood there, looked her in the eyes and said. "Do you like this house? ... We could live here and start a family. I've already bought it."
Ever since that day, they lived in that house & I was born and raised there. That story means the world to me.. I've loved it ever since I heard it the first time. I will never forget it.
Best Regards,
