Flippa is quite good but there are lots of people who try to sell low quality websites for a high price and some even purchase traffic to make their website look active. I have seen people sell websites that look active but actually it is fake traffic. You can easily see this by looking at their past sales. You see their old ads page that says their website has an alexa of 34,000 which was sold like 2 years ago and then now it has an alexa of about 5,000,000.
I like buying websites on active webmaster forums. Of course, I always look at reviews before buying and analyse the website to make sure it has potential. The disadvantage with this is that you don’t have a middleman so you can get scammed but chances are, you will use an escrow service for large transactions. A few examples of good webmaster forums are Digital Point, v7n.
What are the best places to buy websites?

I have listed my website, but the post does not even receive views.I checked your post there and its having 653 views unless it was not your offer.
There is no listing fee, however, you have an option to buy premium services. I have received an offer from a buyer, however, I am yet to close the deal. Let see what happens.I am just curious what is price for listing service as premium? Except Flippa and forums then I didn't use others and I used to get good results when advertising on forums with free listing. If you do bid, you should also verify the income. Not just by the screenshots but the owners financial statements relating to the website. You'll want to see their PayPal or Adsense earnings and again, not just screenshots. You'll want to view it live with some sort of remote viewing where they login and show you the transactions. This is good business sense for any type of purchase of an asset/business though.
I've not heard mention of V7N in years! I'll have to visit there again, I forgot it even existed. I like Flippa. I agree there are a lot of low quality websites being sold there, but there are good ones too. Just like any marketplace, you have to sift through the crud to find the diamonds. The key on Flippa, I have found, is income. Put a minimum income in your search listings and you'll virtually eliminate all the junk. A site with fake traffic will not have any income.
