I get a lot of spam to my Facebook comments in pages

I receive a huge amount of comments and likes to my comments in some fan-pages and it must be from bots that keep comments and likes each comments. How can I stop that?

There is no method that will stop all spammers going onto your page. Unfortunately, when people see you have an active Facebook fanpage, they will want to advertise their product or service there. However, there are a few things you can do to reduce spammers. They may be bots but may also be real people advertising their product or services. My advice for you is to block the spammers and report their posts to Facebook and then delete it. That way, you may get spammers banned from Facebook. You can also use the Facebook’s spam filter which will filter out the spam for you. You can find more information here.

Three things you can do, that I can come up with, besides the ones MasterA already stated is to have everything set on private or friends only, meaning, not visible for everyone (definitely not optimal for a business page). The second option is not a way to stop the spam but it might minimize it at least, and that is, Age Restrictions (might work depending on the audience you're targeting). The third thing you can do, to at least minimize the amount of notifications you get, is to turn off the notifications for each post you create. That way, you won't end up with 100's of new notifications, but the comments will obviously still be there.

Hi It is very annoying situation when lot of spammer doing like, comments or advertising there product which completely unrelated with your page. I have some fan page too and I am also facing such situation every day. Please are posting various things which completely unrelated with my page. And I do know what is the best method to protest spammer. But I try to protect by this way delete comments and ban the spam user who regularly posting in comments area. But it is difficult to do all times specially when your fan are over. And you can get help by Facebook Help center.

If this thing is happening on your Facebook timeline, I would have said that you really need to take a look at how you have set up your password and ensure a review of it, but since it is something affecting a page or group on Facebook, it does not mean that there is a threat to your account yet unless it starts happening on your timeline.

If you think they are bots who are posting replies to your comments on a post in a Facebook fan page then why be bothered? As long as everyone knows that they are bots, no one will mind whatever comments they post. It is clearly spamming and it is the admin’s responsibility to block the bots and to remove the spam comments. Maybe you can send a message to the admin for that purpose.
